Re: Ireland v France, Sat, 2:15, Landsdowne Road
I think its fair to say Lowes try was one we got away with a bit but they got away with one in Paris last year but I didn’t begrudge them that as they were awesome. Likewise Ireland were without much doubt better on Saturday.

Antonio cited for that tackle unsurprisingly

Glad it wasnt a red simply as it means Ireland over came a much bigger test. However, it probably should have been. Despite that though its amazing how many different views there are on the incident from fair tackle to red all day.

Rightfully cited, I expected another citing from Saturdays other game though. There’s just no consistency in the process.

I assume you are referring to the hit on North by Turner. There was clear mitigation with North ducking into the tackle at the last minute a completely different type of incident.

Different type of incident yes but same outcome, there's no justification for the swinging arm. It was similar to the SBW hit on Watson. If it was a Welsh player giving the swinging arm, I can imagine this forum going up in smoke over it as per usual .

Should have been cited for me. Most obvious one from the weekend with hands in the eye area of Farrell also not cited from the looks of it. Its random.

It's no justification for the swinging arm but it's still a yellow for me because if North doesn't suddenly drop his height then the swinging arm is part of the wrap.
The SBW hit on Watson was a shoulder directly to the head that compressed Watson's neck, this incident is very far removed from that, nothing similar at all.

According to Nigel Owens Turner should have got a yellow and not a red in his whistle watch series.
