Greatest Rounds You've Ever Witnessed

Don't know if this has been done before (I'm sure it has and apologies if it has) but just a little fun thread on the best single rounds you've watched.

As a recent example Round 6 of the Berto - Ortiz fight was crazy causing Emanuel Steward to cream himself in his commentary seat with his "AW MY GAWD!" With both fighters being badly wobbled and hitting the deck with a comeback at the end of the round from Ortiz making spectacular viewing and maybe those two left hooks are the reason he's fighting Mayweather in September as it looked as though the ref was closing in to stop it.

Barrera Morales I, can't remember which round (think it was 3 or 5), outstanding.

Round 4 of Naz Kelley was great too.

Yeah AWESOME fight Barrera - Morales will always be a fight that will live in the memory. Morales began to take over the ring with the right hand but Barrera just comes roaring back with flurries pushing Morales back to the ropes and both men just exchanging like mad men awesome fight.

More recently, the 4th round of Manny v Cotto was a great watch with Cotto backing him on the ropes for a while and doing well until Pac Man went through the gears!

One expert said after that point, Manny turned a great fight into a great performance. Superb.

Mancini vs Frias is a personal favorite...........rd 1

Hagler v Hearns rd 1...............prob the greatest of alltime..

Garza vs Meza.........wbc super bantamweight title..Meza down twice gets up and knocks Garza out.......

well worth a dig on youtube for anyone..interested.

Round 4 of Foreman v Lyle was incredible.

rounds 1-9 of Starling-Honey were pretty good

Forgot to mention (hence the edit) - I'd probably agree that Naz vs Kelley RND 4 was awesome too.

I'd give a nod to Calzaghe vs Mitchell though - First time Calzaghe had been down, looked very shakey getting up, Mitchell comes on strong... gets knocked down and slapped about for a solid minute haha.

Round 9 of Ward vs Gatti, the first fight.

Pretty much all of the rounds in all three were epic.

Agree though that Round 1 in Hagler vs Hearns was awesome.

That was a personal fave..

Barrera - Morales 1 and it was round 5. how Barrera didn't go down I've no idea, superb angles created by Morales and boy could he take a punch Barrera had spent the previous 4 rounds unloading on him.

Mayweather vs Hatton - rounds 4,8 and 10

Cotto vs Margarito - 11th round

Cotto vs Pacquiao - 12th round

Ortiz vs Berto - round 6

Todorov v Mayweather - full fight, big fan of the Bulgarian

Cotto v Quintana - all 5 rounds, absolutely smashes him to bits

Cotto v Pacquiao - Round 1 & 2

Martinez v Williams 2 - The KO in the 2nd

Calzaghe v Lacey - full fight

Ortiz v Berto - Round 1 when Victor really smashes him up

I know its an obvious one, but as it hasn't been mentioned Corrales Castillo I round 10 was probably the best round I can remember in a long time.

Gatti vs Ward 1 round 9 was incredible.
Corrales vs Castillo round 10
Mayweather vs Phillip N'dou round 5 was real good. N'dou was on the wrong end of a beating for the first 2 minutes then throws probably between 50 and 70 punches in the last minute of the round just windmilling at Mayweather, not much landed but it was incredible bravery.
Holt vs Torres 2 round 1 was good while it lasted.

Evander Holyfield vs Riddick Bowe 1 - Round 10 is the best round of boxing I have ever seen. Amazing by both.

Agree with most already, certainly Hagler Hearns r1.
