Bloody hell Bathite - you're Roy Keane!!

Agree Pooly, from starting sides they've done very well. The cash injections and transfer structure has helped the smaller teams massively. I think Ospreys were nearly there - Steven perhaps just isn't on enough to turn them into world beaters.

League has worked very well this year Pull, hats off mate, done a cracking job.

Teams are very close and shows with a bit of work any team can get up there.

Hear hear! Well done Pull, kept it competitive and a challenge for all teams throughout. Table looks a bit harsh on the likes of Stade and Bath, who both had great runs and Biarritz were a shoe in at 3rd for ages as well!

Yeah, felt bad for Stade and Bath all year. They're as good as the other teams but it's the one point extra per win that kills them. Might scrap that next season.

Now for these playoffs.. bring on the Joks!

I'm a big fan of the point per win thing. Having watched all the results change as each prediction came in (had an excel with formula), you could see the effect. Only right if more people think you should win that you get the 4 points?

Perhaps.. but in the case of Bath and Stade I saw them getting a lot of 27-25 losses or 25-23. With the extra point it adds up to become 31-23 whereas on average they probably deserved a bonus point.

Don't think that Stade had a great starting squad, in hindsight, maybe Metro a better option? Mind you, they will be strong again, with all their signings, non?

Yeah fair enough, could just do the bonus point based on before the extra point per win thing?

It's a very brutal system but people tend to be over nice in predictions and give 2/3 point losses when in reality it looks more like a 10/12

Very true, we all definately adjust our predictions accordingly. Realistically, take a look at normal aviva/magners/top14 results and the margins will be more like 10 points typically, rather then 4ish

I've done it myself. One team will have 15 better players and be at home, yet only get a 3/4/5 point win. In reality you'd 8/10 times get pumped by 30 points! I know the bloody Falcons do!

Morning lads. I've drafted three injuries each for the playoff teams.

Can I have your thoughts on whether we should

- bother doing injuries for playoffs?
- allow shop purchases? Eg. Pooly's injuries will become irrelevant
- Have full squad or just first team

My opinion is

- No
- Full squad
