Survivor Series rumored match

- Word going around at Tuesday’s WWE tapings was that creative has discussed popping the big CM Punk storyline at Survivor Series with CM Punk and Colt Cabana’s team taking on Triple H and Kevin Nash’s team. One idea was thrown to have Chris Hero and Claudio Castagnoli on Team Punk.

WWE is looking to keep the Punk and Triple H storyline going through the fall to help against Monday Night Football competition.

Really hope they do bring some ROH guys in. So many of them are ridiculously good in the ring and deserve their big break.

Can't see hall in it. He's in no physical condition to compete!

Or HBK, I just can't see him ever making a return for a match, and even if he was to I cannot see it being in something where he wasn't the main attraction.

I could though see New Age Outlaws coming back for it as well as XPac.
Sopp & James have very much been trying to improve their relationships with HHH of late so I could see the teams being:

HHH, Nash, XPac, New Age Outlaws.
v
Punk, Tyler Black (Seth Rollins), Colt Cabana, Kings of Wrestling.

Would anybody pay for that though...

What like all the people that went away after Attitude era and hear that 4 members of DX are back together?
And the fact that the Rock is going to be at Survivor Series.
I reckon that'll do fine.

If NAO's and X-Pac are ring fit and not too fat then it could work well - Shawn Michaels as special guest referee too?

I'm not so sure about this one. I mean does Punk really need anyone riding his coat-tails in this feud? I think he'd be better served playing a loner who tries to fight against the establishment rather than someone who brings in his friends to help him out.

If you absolutely have to have something with CM Punk versus "Friends of HHH" at Survivor Series then why not have Punk v Kevin Nash & Sean Waltman in a handicap match? Nash is already signed up, Waltman's working in the talent department now so if he was given enough of a heads up I'm sure he could get into some kind of ring shape.

I do genuinely think it'd work well, it'd set the wheels in motion on New Age Outlaws v Kings of Wrestling to help get them over, XPac and Cabana could go onto a rivalry as well.

I don't necessarily like the idea of a reformation of DX - don't get me wrong I'm a massive DX mark but I never really rated the Outlaws on the same level as HBK or HHH. If there was a team for Survivor Series I would have:

HHH, Nash, the Miz, Ziggler, Swagger

The reason I chose this team is because Miz, Ziggler and Swagger are the shameless corporate types of heels that would easily go along with HHH and Nash if they thought they would benefit from it and it would give younger talent the opportunity to demonstrate some of their talent against an ROH team that would be brimming with talent. It would be easy from now until SS to assemble the team in the storyline. However I understand for the sake of the storyline if they go with the whole kliq angle.

id consider adding Del Rio to HHH team and have team cena vs team rock in a different match

They weren't obviously on the same level as HHH/HBK but they'd be great to reignite interest in a tag division especially when the KOWs are starting soon it seems.

Imagine the match though, nash with a jacknife, hall tags in staggers and falls on punk and gets the pin.

Naturally nashs streak will involve him winning the rumble, ending takers streak, winning both mitb, and holding every title at once.

I'd love to see Punk, Cabana and the KoW in a team at Survivor Series, I'm not entirely sure I'd go with a team HHH though, I think I'd use Survivor Series as the moment to turn Triple H full on heel, that would be how I'd involve him in the match, I wouldn't have him as an official member of the team

Not far from me. I live in stannington! Use to go to bole hill Haha. Nope wasn't me but for some reason twice in the past few weeks I've been in Cavendish I've seen people with wrestling t shirts on. Maybe the punk angle has sparked people into life.


How would they introduce them when trips/laureitis(spelling) are in charge of talent relations?
