Well, I expect to be largely on my own this morning, but this is the day I expect the England Juggernaut to finally start rolling.

I want to see cold-eyed discipline, good ball protection fron the forwards, good cohesion between forwards and backs, some smart rugby and plenty of tries using differing styles of final execution.

It may "only be Romania" but if all or any of these don't show today - it''ll be a QF exit I reckon.

Don't quite know how to rate this English performance. Good but against Romania it should be. Lots of changes and we've changed styles a bit but kept going. So yeah, fairly happy.

Has Cueto booked a 1st XV place? Not yet.

Well, England did what was expected and hockeyed The Oaks of Romania, plenty of tries with the result never in doubt.

A definite improvement, but they still need to improve at the breakdown, the ball protection element particularly, they will struggle there against Scotland and should they ever come up against SA or NZ I shudder to think.

Is it unfair to pick up on the sloppy passing as it was "only Romania"? I don't think so, if anything it should be better due to lack of pressure.

Still too many penalties 1st half.

Plenty of positives though, some sharp back moves, forwards - backs cohesion much tighter and quite fluid at times. Plenty of variety in the try scoring, Flood and Wilkinson both looking handy, Youngs starting to look the player he was 4 out of 5 6N games...

On the whole, B grade or 7/10 for overall performance.

Better against Scotland please.

apparently when England scored the tries in the first half some of the conversions, at least one of them, wasn't done with the same ball the try was scored with. i'm not sure whether that's against the laws or not but the commentators here were focusing on it...i'll let you know if they discuss it further

One for the refs I reckon but my feeling is that might be a bit naughty, unless there was something obviously wrong with the try ball and the ref has cleared it first....?

During the first half, they said the balls were numbered and Jonny might have preferred one of the balls, they did show a footage of the England's waterboy kicking the try ball away so they can use a specific ball. they also said that, before that incident and i think after the 2nd conversion attempt, the waterboy was going around asking for the ball's number Jonny attempted to score with.

17 tries for England this tournament, and Ashton sitting pretty as the current top try scorer with 5!

Also, 4 tries in 5 games for Tuilagi. He's looking dangerous.

England played with a lot more savvy this time out. They looked to pass more and the forwards looked to find space rather than crash in to the nearest opponent. Lineout was very good and scrum OK against a big Romanian outfit.

Penalty count was a huge improvement but still too many unnecessary silly ones for my liking.

Another huge plus was the clinical way England dealt with the ball when in their own 22 making it very difficult for the Oaks to get any attacking momentum.

Overall, very pleased but there is still more to be done. One thing I am certain of and that is England would have beaten France easily today having watched both games. In fact France were awful.
