Genuinely excited for this one, maybe not 100% deserving of a World Title being on the line, but we can't deny that this is a good dust up; though Cleverly has the ability to outbox him for 12 there's that macho side to him that he loves to show and if that happens it gives Bellew a solid chance to get into the fight and make it a real toe to toe affair. Couple this with the bad blood, the war of the words if you like, the "headbutt", the police being called to press conferences, the handbags that have been dished out it really does give the fight a real edge.

Clev isn't really a banger though he seems to have gained respectable power whereas Bellew can hit, but at how high a level?

Perhaps we are tired of fights being made on bad blood, but if the bad blood is genuine (Like this is) then it's an easy sell.

Normally I would plump for anyone v's a scouser, but it is pushing it a bit backing a Welsh, so I really don't care who wins

Having watched the weigh in, Cleverly appears in a much cooler state of mind than Bellew, who seems very wound up and lost in the hype of the event.

Usually, the cooler guy wins and surely Cleverly is the better fighter too.

Got to go with the Cleverly here. Not a huge fan but hope he gets it done. Bellew is not my cup of tea.

I think Bellew is pretty exciting in the ring granted his last fight was p!ss poor but the others have been of high quality stuff, I can see the styles merging well tommorow night.

Can't see Bellew having any joy tonight - he talks a good fight but that's about it and while Cleverly gets hit too much I think he'll have way too much for the Scouser and will knock him out by round 5.

I think I want to see Bellew get knocked out more every time I see his ego exposed to the public. Nice to see Bellew looks much edgier compared to Clev's relaxed demeanor.

bellew looked like the loneliest man in the world when the commentator mentioned clev's going on to fight hopkins. you could see it in his eyes that he's lost such an opportunity.

Well done to both men i had it a draw but cant argue with the decision except the clown and scored it 117-112.
I would not let Clev anywhere near Hopkins or Dawson they are a different level he looks like a very good domestic fighter to me but nothing more.

Great fight, both men showed real heart and put themselves on the line, especially Bellew. He looked in the shape of his career and being a Cleverly supporter I feared he may have edged it.

Classy in defeat but you simply have to feel for Bellew, his reaction summed up the effort he'd put in and how much it meant. Sad to see such devotion go unrewarded. Would love to see a rematch.

Ironically, I think Bellew came out the winner tonight. Clev is a world class but always had Bellew pegged as a regional class fighter. Tonight he showed he was up there.

Close but deserved win for Clev but did Tony no harm at all.

i agree. didnt think much of bellew before but now i rate him and think he will do well.
clev has a very good chin though seems almost frochesque

Very entertaining fight. I had Clev winning by two rounds.

Very impressed with Bellew's jab in particular, and he took some shots after some people had questioned his chin. Classy in the post-fight interviews, too.

Although it was less controversial, he still caught a unprotected Bellew with a couple of sucker punches.

At least the ref had called them back in clearly on this occasion - still felt it was a cheap shot which with 10 to go, wasnt really needed.

It was a cheap shot but with the fight being close in most eyes it was definitely needed as far as the Welshman was concerned.
