Tom Brady or Peyton Manning?

If they both retired today, who would you regard as having the better career and being the better QB?

God this has been done a few times I'd say. Better career Brady, Better QB Peyton.

Sorry me and GSC were debating about it on the chatbox, so I thought why not get everyone's views

I prefer Manning but I can't argue with how many rings Brady has. I just like Manning as a quarterback. Sounds silly but I find Brady quite boring to watch but I'd still want him on my team

I wanted to vote for Curtis Painter but settled for Peyton

Prefer Brady myself. Although my dislike for the Colts might have something to do with that.

I went for Peyton btw. Would we even have this debate if Brady had one ring too? Belichick's great defenses helped Brady win rings. They've never blown anyone away in a Super Bowl like the Colts did in the 2nd, 3rd and 4th quarters to the Bears.

The Bears had Rex Grossman. There was a reason they weren't scoring points.

Also remember Brady's first ring? He won that game, with that final drive.

But surely that's the point ,Brady has 3 rings by being the clutch player
Manning whilst being a great regular season QB had a history of play off failures [most of them to the Pats]
until he finally won the whole thing

Brady has three rings because Vinatieri was a clutch player.

Easily Peyton. Rings and wins arent a QB stat

Yes, Brady drove them into FG range but Vinatieri still had a hell of a kick to make.

Oh god yeah. But indoors he makes kicks all the time. In the 1st title, he had never missed a FG indoors in his career at that point.

For a long time, Manning had a shoite defence around him, Brady until recently has not. Brady was in a far better team for the majority of his career.

True, but Brady had one of the worst defences in the NFL last season and they still managed to get to the Superbowl.

It wasn't that bad a defence. They gave up yards when they were well ahead by and large. They didn't give up a lot of points, just for example, NE conceded less points per game on average than the Jets. The Jets were the 5th best defence in terms of yards allowed. Their defence isn't too bad.

As said above, Peyton is a better QB overall, but Brady is better in the clutch and so he's had a better career.

Brady for me, he's played with below average skill positions his entire career (with the exception now being Gronk), whereas Manning has always had an elite WR(s) and a very talented TE in Clark. Plus the rings etc.
