PSG have been poo so far this year, I've seen their last two games - both goalless draws, with little in the way of exciting football to be honest.

Not always a good thing to get an easy draw.

Didn't someone draw Basle, Benfica and Galati last year Whistle

This is a true test for city, if they make it out of the group with ease then they are truly a great side.

I think City will make it. Ajax usually fall in the group, and Dortmund will be 3rd.

Shows what a mockery the CL draw is though, when the side who won the PL is in the 2nd seeds and German Champions are 4th seeds. Yet the teams 2nd, 3rd and 6th in England and 2nd and 3rd in Germany are higher!

Chelsea and Bayern were finalists in the CL last season. They should both be top seeds? Yes, they finished sixth in the league, but if the holders aren't top seeds then there's something seriously wrong? Man City have never done anything in Europe, and neither have Dortmund. If either of them actually get somewhere this season then their seeding next time will be higher.

I'll give you Chelsea and Bayern, but you can't honestly claim Arsenal deserve to be top seeds can you? To a lesser extent the same applies to Man U, but they do have a better claim than Arsenal.

Its the Champions League, yet the French champions are lower than the two sides they finished above! Its all about keeping the elite clubs happy.

You wouldn't possibly be suggesting the CL draw is in favour of the big teams, would you Marky?

Not really Marky, what better way to judge the teams in Europe than how they've performed previously in Europe. Why should performance in a different competition take preference to how they have performed in the competition they are then getting seedlings for?

It should be based on what's happened in the Champions League predominantly, I completely agree. It's impossible to compare, say, Celtic, with Ajax. Both won their leagues. But how do you say one is better than the other without previous Champions League form?

Not the big teams, but the powerful teams. Like the sides in the elite Ghowevermanymembersitisnow, can you really say that if Arsenal weren't in that group they would still be top seeds?

And to answer Hero's point, league placing does come into it, as you could be a losing finalist one year, but due to a poor league showing not even be a part of the competition next year. Villareal were above Man City in seedings last year and went on to get relegated!

Olly, get past them and with no real effort, Norwich are in the last 16 of a major cup competition. Don't complain.

Crawley Town v Swansea should be fun, hope they play the Spaniards as they won't like a cold tuesday night at our place!
