Did you see any of the Juve game yesterday Hero?

A nice couple of goals from your man Giovinco, especially the second one when he skinned the defender. A man of the match performance from Vucinic as well(well potentially second to Pirlo who was also brilliant).

Incidentally anyone looking for a striker, Osvaldo has looked awesome in the first couple of games for Roma.

I missed yesterdays Serie A match because I was at my parents but I saw Milan squeeze past Bologna on Saturday. They really lack a spark in that team and Montolivo went off injured too. Got very lucky with all 3 Pazzini goals too in my opinion because the penalty was soft, the second was a gift, and the third was somewhat fortunate. I'm glad I got shot of KPB though. The man won't pass the ball.

Hamsik scored though, and Napoli roll on...

I saw that game on ESPN Sod.

Milan were lucky and I did think Bologna were going to win that during the second half

He also won the penalty for the first goal too so certainly was a great return.
Shows the difference in here though, put that performance in the Premier League and I'd have people queueing up for him like he's Eden Hazard, do it in Serie A and no-one flutters an eyelid.

Thanks Russ

Who wants to play a game? Why is Ronaldo sad?

I think it's because his supermodel girlfriend got a scratch on his £300,000 car and then left the cat flap open in his mansion.

I agree.

I did see you offer for Hazard, which for me was a great offer as I actually think Cazorla has started better than Hazard and I would far rather have Cazorla out of the two.

Cazorla set up more chances than any other player in the first two weekends of the season, just his teammates not putting them away.

A goal for Jovetic as well

Cazorla has probably been Arsenals best player, him or Arteta.

Arteta has been a great signing for Arsenal.

It's probably the failure of Arsenal to score in their first two games, but he has had a very strong start to this point.

I do reckon you may have to move him central though. Seems to be where Wenger wants him and it may colour perceptions of where he plays for you.

Diaby I think most places gave it too which was about right.
Yes was considering bringing him central especially as I was getting the feedback I was lacking a creative spark going forward.

The player of the weekend was clearly Mark Noble though. I'm almost serious too.

Nowhere I have read has he gotten credit for the game he had. People focus on Nolan because he scored, and Diame because he went up and down the pitch all match, but Noble won tackles (sliding ones too...) consistently, broke up play, blocked shots and never misplaced a pass. He's not well liked by many of my West Ham supporting friends either. It's like Lampard all over again!

I still think you are going to be better with a couple of wide attacking players as well because like it or not, not many picked up on your FB instruction and you looked to be penalised for being too narrow. You may have to bite the bullet and drop one of Yaya, De Rossi or Xavi (seems a no-brainer of which one to me)

And I would also be playing Cazorla centrally for the same reason as Sod said and also that is where is was at his best for Malaga last year

I think that the player of the weekend has to go to Bradley Johnson or Robert Snodgrass. Johnson ran the centre of midfield at Spurs, breaking up the play, never allowed Sigurdsson to get going. Snodgrass was just superb against Assou Ekkoto, beat him over and over again, then obviously got the goal he deserved. Really excited by Snodgrass, think he is gonna be a top notch player for us

How about Vaz Te? Heard he had a blinder.

Whereas I rate Carzola highly, I would not swap him for Hazard when the only other thing I would have got was de jong. Like when you had xavi afro, you attempt to get the maximum from letting them go. I'm not saying that hazard is as good as xavi, but saying that if hero wants Hazard, then he has to offer me more than that.

You wanted Xavi, Yaya Toure and Cazorla for him.
There's wanting the max and wanting the max.

De Jong could have certainly a job for you as it was that type of player people were saying was missing from your side.

Vaz Te was alright but you never know what he's going to do, and I get the feeling he doesn't either sometimes.

His crossing is pretty appalling but he was good running with the ball and had some nice link up play in patches. Could be a key player if Carroll is indeed down for a few weeks.

Fair enough Twist. I wasn't saying you should have taken it, more that I probably would have been tempted myself just to get hold of Cazorla.

Hazard has still started superbly and you are right that Hazard is so much in demand that you probably could hold out for a lot more

Its called negotiating hero. U offered too little, I have obviously offered too much. Its meeting in the middle. I know if you tried harder you could offer more than de jong. But, as afro says, I have no need to sell unless I get something high.

To be honest I don't know what I need. Slightly disappointed with Gerrard but I think he had Allen are starting to form a good partnership. Problem is that Liverpool have no talent p front (and yes I include Suarez in that at the mo) that their hard work goes unnoticed.

There's a realistic league on the site Viva.

1. If we drop the price increase fortnight on TPs or remove the SPs then the market would stagnate. People sell players to other players in order to generate the cash to purchase what they regard as better ones.

2. If we change from a simple 'if you can afford him then you get him' procedure on the acquiring of players over to one where transfers are realistic then who is the judge of what is 'realistic'. All it does is cause constination from those that believe their bid is realistic whilst others believe it isn't. You recall the arguments it caused back in the Furious League and often that was just between Nick and us.

Could you start lower in terms of both TP and SP limits?

In my experience, keeping the real stars out of the league is always more enjoyable and what you will find at this stage of the game is that the market will stagnate a bit anyway as managers can only buy real names from domestics and they will not let go of their stars unless it's for another star, and the deal often fizzles out.

I think the TP limits should be kept down a little bit too, rising a bit slower.

I like the idea of less money in the draft for next season, a little bit more challenging to do.

Hero wrote:. All it does is cause constination from those that believe their bid is realistic whilst others believe it isn't. You recall the arguments it caused back in the Furious League and often that was just between Nick and us.

In fairness, it was disagreement between all of us as to what was okay and what wasn't. The fact that it required two out of three meant a lot didn't get through.

But either way your point is valid. The TPs on this league work better than in any other league because there is no subjectivity and need for a personal opinion.

It went pretty well I think. Had 1st overall and took Rodgers, I decided to pick a lot of sleepers. Went with only 3 RB's and 3 TE's because of the flex rules.

Here is what I did:
QB - Aaron Rodgers - Pick 1
RB - Jamaal Charles - Pick 28
RB - Doug Martin - Pick 29
WR - Jeremy Maclin - Pick 56
TE - Vernon Davis - Pick 57
WR - Darrius Heyward Bay - Pick 84
WR - Doug Baldwin - Pick 85 (bit of a brain fart on this pick, hoping cherries will trade for him lol)
TE - Kyle Rudolph - Pick 112
WR - Michael Floyd - Pick 113
TE - Coby Fleener - Pick 140
WR - Kendell Wright - Pick 141
RB - Daniel Thomas - Pick 168
QB - Alex Smith - Pick 169
K - Matt Prater - Pick 196
DEF - Cowboys - Pick 197

I was happy with that. Have taken a lot of punts though, sleepers all the way for me.

Pretty good at QB, I'm sure it goes without saying! Smith will be a useful back up for you, I think he will get even better this year. Charles, Floyd and Baldwin stick out to me as risky picks. DHB will either explode or have a nothing season, you're relying on Carson Palmer to help him and you may pay the price for that Laugh

Oh and the Cowboys defence might be good this year to be fair. They have a tough division to face, with some real quality passers but they have some big talent.
