So – no Olding, Chris Farrell or Henshaw. Farrell has been injured all season, so I’d imagine it’s just bad luck for him.

Henshaw will probably be with the senior team in North America, Olding might well be with the Emerging Ireland team.

Ireland have had some lovely continuity play from what I've seen, a few lovely hands for the penalty!

Our scrum is doing alright especially considering the size difference,just had some good play from Ireland and now a penalty that should make it 6-0.

Some lovely soft hands again, who is the Irish 12, he's made a few beauties of offloads and thrown a dummy or two now thats been misread by defenders?

Missed penalty, 10 not happy, this has happened twice in the England game too

Tom Daly, goalkicker too, Leinster academy, a decent prospect, a big guy but one who doesn't seem to rely on his size either which is crucial.

Good try Aus, but 3 pens in a row were arguable, and there was a judo throwspear off the ball behind the ruck that injured an Irishman

If we could just cut down on the mistakes with ball in hand, we could take this.

The Irish pack is physically inferior, but if they can move the POC, and give the backline some sort of a platform the backline has tries in them, especially Daly and Scholes.

Expect Aus tot tighten up thoug.

We have the winning of this,fantastic display from our pack who to be fair are not that strong but they've won the set piece battle today and done enough to give our backs some room to work.

Ireland haven't been particularly strong in the front 5 in recent seasons, however under Ruddock they have been really impressive at the breakdown, keeping hold of possession and phase play.
Nice to see Ireland leading Aus 16-8.

Yeah last year was an exception when we had a really strong pack but the backs were poor.Some year we'll have a combination and do some damage in this tournament.

Leavy is superb. Another turnover for him.

Heartbreaking, nervy 8/9 minutes now instead of being comfortable which they were!

Throwing offloads when just keeping it tight was the way to go,still I suppose these are the lessons they learn at this age.

That 4 is a nasty piece of work,he went to stamp on our hooker off the ball after the 1st penalty offence in the 1st half too.
