Burns - Beltran; ***FIGHT NIGHT THREAD***

First topic message reminder :

Anyone know much of Beltran? I've got to admit I don't but he's ranked high enough by Ring Mag for me to think this should be a competitive fight.

As much as I like Ricky he's never struck me as a 'world level' type of fighter. Fringe perhaps. A domestic fighter done good for sure but despite one or two decent enough wins I've always had the feeling that he's limited. He got very lucky last time out agianst a fighter with a bit of class (although seemingly no heart).

Anyone shed some light on this one for me? I'm looking forward to it all the same.

Burns doesn't seem to have the pop at long range to keep him off.

He's a stationary target on the ropes.

Beltran cuts the ring off well. Burns getting caught on the ropes and can't get out too often.

Burns getting well outclassed here. Yet more proof that the art to boxing is match-making. You can take a decent but not remarkable fighter and get him to world level just by avoiding these sort of tough nuts. Course, when the match-makers don't do their jobs...

A much better round for Burns that, Beltran seems to be losing a bit of pop in his punches.

He may only be a couple up but he has the momentum and Ricky seems to have no plan B. For once, Watts pessimism is well founded.

He has been poor since his match room switch, I was gonna put money on a Beltran ok prior to fight wish I had now. Can't see Ricky flooring this guy, he losses here IMO.
