IM laughing at the fact Groves tweeted this to somehow try and wind the Cobra up.

Groves clearly has no idea what's coming in just over a month, and it wont be a pleasant experience.

Well he was smashed in the grid by Anderson but if froch has the same opportunity then he finishes him just like he did to Bute.

I used to like groves, it I now just find him irritating, he is not on carls level YET maybe one day but not now. Froch wins by ko in 3.

Froch tbh has always been a bit of a twerp of the highest order. It surprises me not that his best friend is David Haye King of all twerps, the whole nation of twerps bow before Haye.

Froch has always craved a form of recognition that A-list celebs enjoy. He has always felt entitled to house hold name status. I can't fault Froch because his career speaks for itself but he needs to act his age. Mayweather has mellowed on the trash talking and has respect for his opponants.

Unfortunately, how much you dislike a fighter has little bearing on whether they lose Az. If anything, in my experience it's more likely to make them win.

I love The Cobra but that was hilarious.

He interviewed so much better when he was sat in his place with his guitar. Looked a bit goofy, non particularly eloquent, but a billion times more likeable than the new version who has the exposure his exploits in the ring deserve.

The bit where he tells Rachel it would be easier if she were lighter was great.

Still though, I think George will regret all the winding up on the night when Carl eats him alive.

Funny video, will no doubt motivate Froch to beat Grovesy round the ring even more. But good on Groves for getting on with the needle.

Nothing wrong with him at all, Froch has been a credit to british boxing for his exploits inside the ring so want to see him win, not too bothered about his persona in front of the cameras.

Most people think Froch will win, so he picks Groves. He's not actually capable of individual thought.

How can Groves be under rated?, he has beaten a 43 year old completely Shot Johnston, who was like a static punch bag, who still managed to give Groves a Hairy moment or two and took Groves power, And stole a decision against Degale who is also yet to prove him self at world level... again where his power was not as dominant.

Froch has proven to be able to beat everyone else apart from Ward who I think is the best Boxer in the world at the moment.  

I do not think Groves power will be as effective when up against smarter boxers, if he goes toe to teo with Froch maybe he will give Froch a hairy first few rounds but there is no way he will go toe to toe with out getting tagged and once Froch starts tagging him he is not going to like it.

For me his only chance for Groves is using his speed over Froch and fighting on the back foot like he did against Degale which flustered Degale for a few rounds, countering Froch and using his Jab.  As this is where Froch has struggled in the past, But I do not think Groves is good enough to outbox Froch for 12 rounds.

I think Groves will make a huge statement if he does beat Froch and while Froch is 36 now there is always the risk of father time creeping in so I certainly give Groves an outside chance but for me the fight has late stoppage written all over it with Froch slowly imposing him self and dragging Groves into places he does not want to be and eventually after a brave fight, being stopped.

It may be individual, but it's not thought.

Froch isn't over rated, everybody knows his limitations but like the fact he wants to face the best at the current time.

I'd suggest the above appraisal is a little one sided mm8.

Some think froch is over-rated because he lost to ward and Kessler, arguably to dirrell and was seconds away from losing to Taylor... and he was dire against a pretty ancient Johnson too. Yet he thinks he's a massive international superstar and some of his fanboys agree with him.

You might think groves is under-rated if you judge him on Anderson and don't recognise his improvement.

Ultimately, the hope for groves is based on the perception that froch struggles with boxers. A fairly forlorn hope in my view as I expect froch to get to him and I don't think George will be able to withstand the punishment.

I think Froch could be a tad more humble than coming out with statements such as the international superstar bit. He does have the respect of the Americans though, an achievement both Lewis and Calzaghe struggled to achieve.

True Milky, but from Anderson he has fought who? He has never really stepped up his game and fought fighters of real not. After Smith he fought Sierra, Johnson, Balmaceda, Barakat and Alcoba?

Meanwhile Froch was fighting Bute, Ward, Mack and Kessler?!

Its insane, but that's the truth.

Groves should have fought steiglitz or Abraham or even Dirrel. But to go straight in with a guy who is on some sort of mission at the moment is beyond me.

Hey mm8, I agree with the premise, just thought you were over egging the froch pudding. Groves is lucky to get the shot, and it's selling point is purely the domestic dust up angle.

His voice is annoying, I think that's what does it for most people.

All boxers talk nonsense. Joe Calzaghe said he would never fight Jones, his father lost his temper everyone you questioned his legacy and he had the personality of a walnut yet people still loved him.

Based on their abilities. Groves is a rapidly improving fighter who can mix up the fight. Plus he has a dig on him. Froch isn't exactly hard to find and will be found wanting at the end.

I want Froch to get out the Supermiddle division. Hes exhausted it of opponents and Im not interested in Ward beat him again. Stevenson or Kovalov detonating on his chin would be interesting.
