Following Pacquiao's statement that he and Khan would never fight because they are good friends, Maywweather has offered a olive branch to Pacquiao saying he has nothing against Pacquiao and it Bob Arum is the problem.

I said modern. According to you the black and white TV boys are prehistoric, so Lewis would be middle ages. ( I believe that chickens had skin and feathers, by then. ) I'm referring to those modern, super - fit beneficiaries of brown rice and bananas, Solis, Arreola, Peter, etc.

Lewis et al are modern windy. Haye and Klits are HD (not a sexual transmitted desease btw) generation.

Modern diets also include eating egg whites and yolks seperately. They possess free radicals (that's not a 1960s student protest group) which is good for the skin and makes you less succeptible to cutting. Not eggs benedict, egg not or advocaat.

I'm opening a ' book ' on the subject of whether or not D4 will admit he has been proven wrong, since he logged out and scuttled off to ' Manny World ' about five minutes after I produced them, last night. Windy - you've got more chance of knocking a passing Lord Lucan off of Shergar when you back out of your drive this morning than you have of getting an apology or admittance of being wrong from D4. Ive lost count of the times (when I used to bother to engage him) that I've owned his fabricating, contradicting, goal-post moving backside, only to see him disappear quicker than a priest in a brothel raid. Upon re-appearing he acts as if said owning never happened and carries on regardless. Attempting to draw his attention to it is pointless too, he will simply refuse to acknowledge anyone or anything that disproved his zealot theories to the point of total and utter denial. It's that kind of one-way-street 'debating' that has earned him his rep and that has created you and the admins so many teething problems on here.

I know I may have missed the boat slightly with this, but yesterday there was a debate about sprint timings. I think you all missed that Jeffries claim related to 100 Yards, while D4'd world record time was over 100 metres. Not sure if this was a typo on D4's part, but it would explain the discrepancy.

Amir Khan is targeting Floyd Mayweather and wants to fight him in 2012.

Khan has said he has more speed the harder punch and the better trainer than Floyd and believes he has the tools to beat him.

Floyd Mayweather removal from The Ring magazine’s pound for pound rankings after being inactive for more than 12 months could be seen as sign of the legacy of Manny Pacquiao being advanced across this era. While Pacquiao advances his case every six months, Mayweather appears to be resting on his laurels. Unfortunately, they have just been removed.

Mayweather’s last fight was against Shane Mosley on May 1, 2010. He was reported to have earned in the region of $43 million for that fight.

Money aside – and of course the green goddess cannot be discounted as the major reason for professional boxers to ply their trade – Mayweather should heed it as a wake-up call as his legacy is slipping away from him. It is being usurped by Manny Pacquiao, who is growing as a crossover star, while his burgeoning political career in The Philippines continues to expand. He really is Pacquiao the portfolio man.

Why wait a year to call them inactive ? Few sports would accept such a long time. If injury free, why not make it six months ?

Ring Magazine’s editor-in-chief Nigel Collins said Mayweather’s exclusion from the rankings was not related to the boxer’s ability. “The removal of Floyd Mayweather, who has not fought since May 1, 2010, and has no bout currently scheduled, is not a reflection of Mayweather’s ability,” Collins said this week.

“To keep him ranked at the expense of active fighters is unfair, especially as we have no idea if or when Mayweather will fight again,” Collins said.

Collins attitude is to be applauded, but he has also said that Mayweather’s status in the magazine’s rankings will be reviewed if he fights again.

It has been suggested this week by Roger Mayweather, the fighter’s uncle, that he will come back later this year, at the Dallas Cowboys Stadium. Let’s hope so.

The longer Mayweather leaves it, the more likely that this era will be remembered for the feats of the Filipino fighter, as Mayweather’s lustre lessened. The ranking removal should be seen as a wake-up call for Floyd.

I think all fighters inactive for 12 months and beyond should be omitted from rankings.

Only right and proper that he should be removed for the time being in my opinion, Daz.

Seems reasonable to me, if a guy ain't injured there has to be a cut off point and a year makes sense. Truth is if you don't draw a line somewhere could get stupid. Naz never announced his formal retirment. Not sure you could really justify having him in the featherweight rankings anymore, much as I'd like to.
