Ha, I am the same in a way, all depends who the fighter is though.

Although I wanted him to lose, I kinda didn't like Degale's unbeaten record going, as I wanted to see him act like a cocky so'n'so to the yanks, as that could have given us some cracking pre-fight pressers. However, it seems my worries were unfounded as he hasn't learnt a jot of humility since!

Bit harsh Truss! It's not cheating if the others agree to it, though in essence I agree that it is completely wrong. However, Manny isn't the first, Ray Leonard can be blamed for starting off this nonsense, in my opinion.

I'm a fan of catch weights if they are used properly. If you have 2 fighters who campaign at 2 different weights fighting and they meet in the middle for example if Chavez Jnr. was to fight Saul Alvarez I wouldn't have a problem with them meeting at a catch weight of 157lbs I would have no problem with that. The problem is that some fighters seem to be using it to gain an advantage.

I'd say the likely explanation is that he was only 16 when he started, and has therefore matured throughout his pro career, and is now fighting at his walking around weight, which must help with regards to being at your most powerful, I'd have thought.

It is a rare phenomenon, Truss, I'll give you that. But then Hopkins being as fit and sharp as he still is at the ripe old age of 46 is also a rare occurrence. In sport many people are very good, but it is the blessed few that make themselves really great, and to do so they have to have attributes that the average contemporary doesn't have.

That is the case with both Hopkins and Pacquaio, in my opinion.

The only thing that makes me question Pac was his refusal to take the tests. As for Floyd he was effective at LMW but not at his best he was a bit slower and his reflexes weren't as good.

For a superfly to bang out a natural 147/154 guy in Cotto and knock Hatton cold at 140 certainly opens a lot of eyes..

Floyd who is naturally bigger than Manny took a lot longer to get his attention..

Why is he going the distance with Morales....going 11 and more with Barrera and then flattening 140 and 147 guys?????

What's KO% got to do with his power?

Then you use knockouts as proof that his power has got higher..

Even though the referee stepped in for Cotto, Pacquiao didn't knock him down at the end.

It's debatable, he has got to be a better fighter so it's likely he hurts his opponents more even if his power was lower.

You criticise his recent opponents too, he knocked out Barrera and Morales at lower weights.
