Following Pacquiao's statement that he and Khan would never fight because they are good friends, Maywweather has offered a olive branch to Pacquiao saying he has nothing against Pacquiao and it Bob Arum is the problem.

To post something marginally about boxing (although not really), I watched the first of these videos. Seems like Floyd is trying to get some goodwill back by posting some propaganda of him being a 'nice guy'. It is fairly transparent though and wont win anyone over. Arum has convincingly won that particular PR war.

Spoke to Windy about a thread for any Floyd or Manny news to stop the board getting cluttered with threads that all end up in the same debate.

I would have Roy Jones Junior above Hopkins. I'm a big Bhop fan but a prime RJJ was awesome.

It's not about prime it's about overall career for me and Jones doesn't come close to having Hopkins overall career

I'd say he is the most talented of his generation by some distance (I'm not including Roy Jones sort of era in this), but I'd say Manny is the best fighter of his generation.

Manny has the better record but not by much Floyd has a good record but if it's your perogative you can pick holes in it. It can be done with almost any fighter. I would probably agree with Pac on acheivements and record but Floyd on ability by a distance. I wasn't including RJJ either would have him as the generation before.

Hopkins has adapted better to ageing it was always going to be harder for Jones because he was more reliant on speed and reflexes whereas Bhop was always more of a tactician.

Like I said mate I'm a big Bhop would have Jones on ability in his prime he was awesome. Bhop has had the longer and more successful career although Jones didn't do to badly. Hopkins never had Jones speed or power so had to be more tactical minded. He also lives a very disciplined lifestyle and due to his tactical style and experience is a match for the top LMW around even at 46.

Will openly admit i'm not a huge fan of Jones, have never been able to see what others do with regards to him

Can we discuss any Floyd on here, be it Pink Floyd, Keith Floyd or to keep things boxing Floyd Patterson. Just want to establish some parameters, lest I incur the wrath of the mods

So lets stop with this myth that the board is being over run with Pacquiao and Mayweather articles.

So even in a week just after Manny Pacquiao fights in which will be the most watch fight of the year, Pacquiao is still behind Wlad and Haye in boxing topics on here.

And this was my thread discussing the specific topic of the videos that Mayweather has released this week but rather that stick on that topic, others seem to like a free for all on the same rhetoric to be played again by making this a general topic on Mayweather.

And the person who got it changed did not even have anything new to add.

I said to Windy about it last week when their was a lot of Manny/Floyd threads. He said leave it until after the Manny fight then PMd me today asking me to do it.

You should be happy now you don't need to make a new thread everytime Manny takes a s**t.

There is more Wlad and Haye thread about, even on Wlad leaving his girlfried, why no need for a Wlad or Haye section.

Even Froch has more thread recently.

Because we all debate Wlad and Haye sensibly, the same cannot be said of you with regards to those who shall not be named, there's also far more threads on them than your suggesting, your well aware of this of course but just seem to wish to be awkward.

Actually it was my idea, and it was tried and it didn't work, because some posters decided to argue with the OP rather than talk about the debate, the regurgitated the same old rhetoric because there was no spcific talking point to stick to.

It was for news and video links for Floyd videos of him visiting his mum or the fight camp stuff.

Windy said if it was regarding a fight then start a new thread and if it went the same way as most it would get merged.

Now the talking point was Floyd video that he released in the wake of the Pacquiaof fight this weekend.

But as soon as the change happened it took a turn towards the usual debate on who is the greatest fighter of this generation, RJJ and then Pink Floyd and Floyd Paterson.

Floyd Mayweather turned down $50 million to fight Pacquiao.

Team Mayweather were in negotiations with Mandela's daughter, and Mayweather's team were trying to keep the $50 million purse but change the opponent from anybody but not Pacquiao.

But that would not fly with Mandela's daughter's team.
