Just got in- missed the first try. Ireland doing some very good stuff at the breakdown.

Saxons have nothing but the maul and crash ball, and burn's ludicrously hopeful speculative miss-five loopy pass to the wings.

Wolfhounds are killing us at the breakdown. With the wind in their favor we're having to run it and doing it badly right now.

Copeland has started well, apart from one indecisive moment under a high  ball. The Irish Backrow have looked good so far.

Referee doesn't know the forward pass law.

Burns having a poor game so far but not being helped by the forwards or his 9

Yep, he's called two like that so far. Surely just a basic for a referee to know this stuff?

Good pressure here by the Wolfhounds.

England's kicking is really struggling in the wind. Need to start working hard at the breakdown too and just run the ball rather then panic passes!

terrible game. Ireland is poor, England poorer. Despite his try I think Boss is playing terribly.

And that was a direct result of the incorrect forward pass calls we've had, with the players trying to ensure the passes actually went backwards against the wind.

Ah come on guys Gilroy you must take that pass although robbie he is on your team and 2 metres away you don't need top try and kill him with the pace, basic error and try cost

Need to settle it down, the conditions mean its going to be a slog. Not impressed with Madigan and Cave for that try- need to adapt to the weather.

Madigan is always such a mixed bag isn't he? Quick thinking, high risk player.

When he's confident he's impressive.

Good try by Watson then Madigan does well for Ireland. Don't think it was anywhere near the mark though!

Madigan needs to show a little more control. Great try but he is having a very bad game so far.

And there's the other side of Madigan. Honestly don't know what to make of him.

We should be winning the territory battle with this wind.

Ireland pretty well on top but need to get scores cos that wind will make it a lot tougher in the 2nd half.

Do Irish tacklers never have to release the tackled player now?

Burns has been playing well for the Saxons.

So we push the ball wide in our own 22, and then our 10 box-kicks from the base of the ruck down the middle with no kick chase.

Where's the structure and organisation Ireland?

Poor kick from McFadden but he put in a good tackle to make up for it,

Ref if at every ruck you have to tell an Irish player to roll away then fracking penalise them for not rolling away!

Ireland really didnt use that wind at all.

Well that was a terrible 40 mins of rugby! Perfect precursor to the 6Ns really...

Not the best of games, England will have the wind in the second half so that will help them. They do need to improve their discipline though.
