Wimbledon Day 11 - Men's Semi Finals

First topic message reminder :

Well folks here it is. We are down to the nitty gritty. Is it a time for new hero's? Or will the old guard starve off the new breed?

Djokovic in his 5th Wimbledon semi final. Federer in his 8th.

Dimitrov and Raonic in their first Slam semi finals respectively.

If we go by the H2H we should expect another Federer and Djokovic final. However, it's a Slam and anything can happen.

I actually have the day off, so take that work! Can't wait for some stonking tennis action!

I've experienced so much incompetency in big moments from Novak that I barely raise an eyebrow anymore.

But that was ridiculous.

Geez Novak, he GAVE you a game for free and you still bungled it!

I just want to say one thing. after roland garros, lots of people doubted about djokovic for wimbledon

he really had a hard draw (stepanek, simon, tsonga, cilic, dimitrov) and he prevailed while nadal, murray failed

great tournament

Dimi is all out of plans, but not yet all out of heart - will it be enough?

These last few games have not exactly been high quality.

I predict Novak will have a couple of break points, not take them and then get broken to about 15 in the next game.

I feel kind of torn.

Instinctively I want Novak to win. It's an old habit I haven't shaken.

But do I really want to go through the pain of another slam final? He's not playing well enough to win.

Dimi was never bad but he was always a bit of mental midget but now yes he is showing some reserves to fight.

The thing that bugs me on the snatches of action I've seen is that Dimi appears to be a positive presence on court. Seizing the moment, playing with relish.

Novak seem to be whining the whole time.

He annoyed me when he compiled a list of the greatest servers of all time and missed off Scud and way before my time Tanner.

Djokovic would rue himself if he losses this game for missing the 2nd set when he was a break up.

I'm up for a fifth set to give grandpa a chance...
