Wimbledon Day 11 - Men's Semi Finals

Well folks here it is. We are down to the nitty gritty. Is it a time for new hero's? Or will the old guard starve off the new breed?

Djokovic in his 5th Wimbledon semi final. Federer in his 8th.

Dimitrov and Raonic in their first Slam semi finals respectively.

If we go by the H2H we should expect another Federer and Djokovic final. However, it's a Slam and anything can happen.

I actually have the day off, so take that work! Can't wait for some stonking tennis action!

Murdoch - Djokovic played well, needed to really bring his A-game, he undoubtedly played very well on the big points, but he had some dumb luck as well.

Biggest thing for Dimi is that he's got that desperation. I'm actually not as sold on his game as a whole, he doesn't have mind altering power on either wing, of all the single bend forehands on tour (Federer, Nadal, Dimi, del Potro, Cillic, Verdasco) his seems to have least easy power. His backhand also lacks the sting which Gasquet or Wawrinka have.... But he has serious hustle, and what my tennis coach used to call three dimensional court awareness... Seems mighty fit as well now. Good volley game, but I think it's his desperation to win a point which I like most, quote Nadal-Like.

Raonic is being picked apart by the grandmaster - time for some footie.

Lever has more hair then Nadal   

Federer with a chance to get to 18th slam, Nadal fans cheer for Djok.

Nadal goes into slam final v Novak, Fed fans cheer for Djok.

Both fan groups are sickening.

This semi final will be 10x better than the other one

No, Fed is an excellent wind player.  People often assume that wind would hurt him but in general he does very well in windy conditions.

He's just very versatile - remember the blue clay where everyone else was slipping around like Bambi and Fed went on to win?

I assume that because he's so bloomin' good indoors he mustn't be that good in the wind.
