Tonight's action- thread
First topic message reminder :
Evening guys,
I'm stuck at work and the internet's so slow here I can't get a stream to work for tonights action. Any chance we can get a live round by round thread going, particularly interested in Skeete-Gavin and Saunders-Eubank.
Cheers!

I can't imagine McCallum letting him fight like that but could you ever imagine senior letting someone better than him be in the corner?

Yes, we're back on beards. I knew if I toughed out the boxing talk we would get back to the stuff that matters.

Playing devil's advocate, I'm not sure he can do that for 12 rounds, and a lack of balance like his at this stage doesn't get ironed out over night. He needs to full on learn to jab, one two etc. There's tons missing. Being bigger is pretty much what he did tonight.
I totally agree but I reckon he can do it for 7 which is what he needs, not 12, and I reckon he could do that. But yeah, misses a right hand and he is all over the place.

Come on Chis, do humanity a favour and get rid of that useless oaf, you can go threatening to physically burn whoever you want if you do.

Tentatively going for Chisora. If I still thought he possessed the chin from the Klistchko fight I'd be more confident. 241 pounds concerns me, but maybe they thought cutting more than that was taking away from his punch resistance.

Re: Tonight's action- thread
Right result definitely, I think Saunders called it very fairly and showed a bit of grace in victory.
I thought Saunders by 2 seemed about right. Even the rounds Eubank won, were messy. Not a great fight, but ended up a lot better than it looked like it was going to be.
The real winner tonight is GGG who can perhaps sleep a little easier.

Scored both the Saunders and Skeete fights; will pop card on tomorrow. Had BJS by 2 though and Skeete by 2.

Re: Tonight's action- thread
Del Boy isn't a terrible fighter, he's just at a massive size disadvantage here, and he doesn't have KO power. But fury isn't hard to hit up close, so if Del can get inside and throw a few overhand rights he could put Fury on his backside, but the likely out come is a Fury points win or even late stoppage I'd say.AlexHuckerby wrote:Haha, does anyone see Del Boy doing an upset here?

There are a few people watching the fights that apparently don't watch BoxNation for their own reasons.
They must be round in "mates" houses.

Fury is fat...im sure of it! Can see it in the shape of that vest...definitely a bulge on him! Shocking given he was apparently coming into this in shape and after an amazing contest.

Chisora walking in to coldplay makes me want both fighters to be knocked out, if indeed that is possible.

Re: Tonight's action- thread
It was a close fight and could have gone either way, that being said I think The right guy won it as he wont the clearer rounds and boxed better.. He just seemed to tire at the end...
Either way I hope it teaches Jnr a lesson as I dont like all this OTT arrogance.. maybe when you have won and defended a world title for a while it can be good for show, but not when you have never fought anyone outside of Brit level.. Still looks like a good fighter though.

there are very few things could make me want Fury to win, however well done to Dereck for finding one.
