Matthysse V Postol - SPOILERS

Haven't seen this mentioned so far but Matthysse was stopped in the 10th after looking a bit bemused by Postol's jab and movement up to that point but also being in the fight.

It also looked like he could have gone on.

Postol V Crawford next hopefully.

What's next for Lucas Matthysse?

Maybe Provodnikov did more damage than we realised, or maybe it was an accumulation thing after a series of tough exciting fights. Maybe his style wasn't suited to longevity but I think he can come again. Although he should try to avoid the boxers with elite level skill.

Haven't seen it, but read he caught a headbutt and the punch that finished him was on the same spot as the headbutt. Maybe concussion?

I mean you boy Danny Garcia relinquished instead he fights Malignaggi and now wants a Thurman-battered Guerrero. Instead of rematching Matthysse and fighting Postol ffs! And he wonders why people call him a cherrypicker.

Yeah saw this and surprised albeit I didn't know anything about Postol.

Mattysse said he could continue but felt a pop in his eye!

I love watching Mattysse but is definitely beatable against a skilled fighter with a good game plan and Roach is good at that.

Postol always had a chance as style wise he is all wrong for Matthysse but i still backed Lucas to win good for Postol i hope he goes on from here and doesnt become like Garcia

Really want to see Postol-Garcia now. Also, if we're talking 140lbs, that twit Broner should be in the mix now too.

Broner won't be fighting Postol because of Uncle Bob and Al not playing nicely with each other, the same reason is also valid with Garcia and Postol

Thing is with Garcia, if he'd go after Thurman or Porter, instead of Malignaggi and Guerrero, all would be forgiven.

But any mention of those two to his father and he instantly dismissed those fights for some reason. Maybe it's the father who's the cherrypicker and not Danny.

Him and hid dad are making easy money at the expense of the fans who wanted to see a Matthysse rematch.

Malignaggi and Guerrero are irrelevant in the welterweight division at present, who the hell wants to see Garcia fight them instead of Matthysse, Thurman or Porter. Why was his dad so keen to dismiss fights with Keith or Shawn when the media were calling for Danny to face them. Those two were the natural progression for him. The other two are a step back. Easy money or conning the fans if you prefer.

Spot on Truss, many on here didn't give him a cat in hell's chance of beating Matthysse, won by UD and dropped Matthysse in the 11th,also stopped Khan despite being outboxed early on, didn't cherry pick those two.

Media pressure forced him to take the Matthysse fight, he was all over the Khan fight for obvious reasons.

If you think Paulie and Guerrero are (a)relevant and (b)the natural progression and (c) harder fights than Thurman or Porter, then there's little point in debating.

Seen no evidence from Brook that he's at it, though I wish he'd let Brandon have his own gloves and waived the rematch clause. But that's another matter.

Truss he has a habit of taking little risks these days. Khan is a brilliant 4 or 5 round boxer. That is the only compliment he gets from me.

Khan has cherry picked since Garcia. Also don't put McCloskey in there.

Paul made him look silly. Yes Khan was winning rounds, but he looked sh1t to be honest. Far from a p4p fighter.

Judah was a good win and Maidana was a great win.

I say it like it is. Alexander was a very good win, but that is the style Khan matches up well against.

He didn't look great against Chris in his last fight.

Anyway if he fights Manny I'm sticking a large sum on a Pacquiao ko.

I think I find Danny more irritating than his pops to be honest. At least , and usually when he's not trying to be, his dad can occasionally be funny.

He did, Khan landed very few. McCloskey was being defensive. If he had speed he would of landed on Amir.

Put it this way. He is afraid to take any challeneges unless named Floyd or Manny for one reason. He is desperate for the huge pay day and a potential win against past it greats.

He is not a great fighter and he is going to get chinned soon.

Garcia got to where he did the hard way. I was one of the few who expected him to beat Matthyse, but I didn't think he would beat Khan. Two great wins. No doubt he is cashing in his name and titles a bit since. Unfortunately most do.

But gotta agree with Truss. Brook one decent win...cashing in easy home defences since. Quigg no great wins but being kept busy cashing in his pretend title. Anyone who thinks Garcia is like these two is mistaken.

I actually think Matthyse is hugely overrated. Outboxed by Garcia, outboxed by Alexander, outboxed by Pistol. He's a hard man and great seek and destroy abilities, but he's never been top dog at LWW.That was wishful thinking by the guys who love GGG type fighters
