Yep get em coming in, later tonight I'll be mainly doing all the initial transfers over but hopefully if there's a pair of tactics in I'll manage to get a game in too

As you're taking my Fifa cherry with these tactics, I'm bound to make a mistake or two - would you mind letting me know if there are any issues with what I send you?

Of course I can, main thing I learnt from last 2 seasons is not to go full octane on pressure/aggression/speed as your players are knackered come the 2nd half. Stamina is a big factor.

So my day today:

Sold my LB to Lawyers
Released two ST
Added my £100k Press Conference bonus
Signed a LB
Signed an AM
Found they were both already in the league
Signed a different LB
Signed a different AM
Handed in tactics

When are games streamed?

Deadline for tactics is Friday night, some get their tactics in early so games could be anytime between Tuesday night and Monday night depending on Hero's schedule

But fortunately all games remain on the Twitch channel to watch back, so even if you don't catch it live it's still there to watch "on demand" as it were.

Yeah I usually do my tactics on Tuesday/Wednesday so no worries there unless you want to wait and see if your opponent makes any drastic changes

Deadline for players eligible to play that week is Thursday at midnight, anyone signed after that can't play so there's no nasty surprises for opposition managers.

Also the tactics bonus is only for those who get their tactics in by midnight Friday

Very important point.

Just in the process of updating squads on Fifa for everyone.
Please ensure that all transfers are on the confirmation page as that's my bible for it.
On an additional note if it's not an English team involved could you add in an extra line of which league they are in, and if the club in fifa has a different name please state the fifa club. Just spent ages trying to find a player that his RL club wasn't in fifa but he was.

Yep they are, counted within your normal 2 foreign signings a week

Well I guess you could sign some that aren't, just means they can't play!

Yeah I'm trying to work out with my bench how to have it so it doesn't replace my new players in the 2nd half but as a natural result of bringing in these players then the ones I have spare are the same positions!

I’ve done tactics but don’t quite know what to do with subs. I presume it’s just automatic and the CPU does what it pleases?

Yeah subs are out of our control - so in general its good to get a good balance of players on the bench

Yep and will often throw a total spanner in the works for you too so be prepared to be both bemused and frustrated when it turns your carefully laid out plans for a 4231 into 351 for the last 20 minutes with your 17 year old RB with a rating of 45 up front.

Had a few games last season for Nadz where it was insistent that Casemiro was a RW for the last 20 mins.

We did say that straight after draft you can release as many as needed to get down to the 25 squad limit. Trebs just still needs to do that.

And then two per week max from then on.

It's always been the case? Seeing as you can only sign 2 in foreigns, and you also have 2 lawyers offers each week

You get wholesale releases as people release all and sundry. Its done to raise money for purchases, whereas I think a bit of control over releases adds a bit of need to use tactics to get the best out of your squad.

It helps limit the league being even more about buying and selling constantly

Wait, do you get the money for your releases? I was assuming it was costing people!

You get 75% of their TM value

The only negative for me is with managers who are lax on their squad size at times (cough Nadz cough) and end up with 18 players and not enough to then make a bench.

Doesn't really make too much difference to me as I don't like losing £s on a players value, so only release once in a blue moon. Only done more this time as they are zero value so I'm not losing anything

But I always think it looks crap when people are releasing 5-10 players at a time.

I think we have to stick to two releases a week - I could probabaly raise a few million by releasing players in my squad, and do a Nads and have 19 players

I think the extra injury rule should also apply if over the squad limit, but depends how strictly its policed

Trebs was meant to release 8 players lunchtime today as he hadn't previously. On this occasion its up to his opponent (Nads) if he wants injuries re drawn or not

You should have done it after the draft was done and before injuries were drawn tbh.

But I think we can say that everyone needs to be down to 25 by the end of Thursday at the latest, and as a one off this week, can have as many releases as needed to do this.

But then after Thursday, you get extra injury (applied to the following week) for each player over the limit. We can track who is over/under easily enough with Bam's Google Doc
