Wimbledon Day 5
Good Morning Tennis Fans,
I am glad to report we have some 606V2 posters in the crowds today.
British interest with Murray, Robson and Baltacha all in action as well as defending champion Nadal.
Bring it on. The sun is out, so rain, what rain?

Good luck to them all but I do think Robson has a mountain to climb, however if she can take some games or even a set I would say it would be a major achievement.

Really looking forward to the Robson v Sharapova match. Loving that we've still got three Brits to have an interest in at this point!

I think Laura will be in with a shout as Sharapova isn't the quickest of cats.

Baltacha played a great set - only dropped 3 points on her first serve and got over 60% in.

Wozniacki wins 6-1 6-2
Channel change to BBC HD for Robson v Sharapova

Correction:
It it's 5-3 in the 2nd set. Wozniacki had won the set 6-2 but Razzano challenged.
Now she's through 6-1 6-3

Re: Wimbledon Day 5
Baltacha loses a poor 2nd set.
Breaks straight away in the third, then loses her own serve. Fails to take 3 break points in the next - one chance on the forehand, just too flat in to the top of the net, and one that Peng almost put long on a put-away.

Re: Wimbledon Day 5
Lost it, 7-4, still, no shame in taking Shara to a tie break. Especially as she's many people favourite to win Wimbly.
I'd be happy to see Laura lose after a great performance.

Sharapova on the 2nd serve keeps going to the Robson FH and she is getting creamed by it. Break point for Robbo!!

She's doing well, matching Shara in the key areas, needs to cut a few unforced errors out.

So Robson has brroken MaSha twice in this set - only problem is she is yet to hold serve, so is 2-5 down.
Ok, has just held for 3-5. Hanging in well

Re: Wimbledon Day 5
If she loses she can hold her head high, she's performed admirably and pushed Shara!
Come on Robbo, get the break!
In other Brit news, Delgado and Marray are 1 set all and on serve in the 3rd.
