The Dew Drop Inn Virtual Rugby Pub
First topic message reminder :
Welcome to the virtual rugby pub - a place where you can come in for a sly beverage and discuss whatever's on your mind, or just eavesdrop on the regulars if you fancy a break from all the rugby chat.
The only rule in this pub is one of mutual respect for everyone in it, oh and no defacing the Tommy Bowe photo on the bar. That's a banning offence
So pull up a chair....what'll it be?

Probably too old for you Rev. She needs experience, class, a certain distinction and jenny-say-quaw. Not Action Man.

Haha. Fair enough Gibbo.
For the record, I've never watched Torchwood either. I don't really like Dr Who, so won't watch Torchwood.
I'll check her out now, cheers Dreamer. Oh and if it is Rhossili, what a fabulous place.

I've seen A Bit of Tom Jones (the film) too and can't remember her in it. This calls for another watch.

I think the brief bit that I saw of it was, I was there in April and the house looked really familiar to me anyway Rev, but there's probably loads of stretches of beaches that look just like the bit shown!
And I'm off for the night now, might not be in much tomorrow, so have lovely Friday's all (It'll be pay day for me! )

I've been a fool; put off going to the gym all day, then got in and had to stop my workout early because it was closing time! Didn't get much done at all. Mea culpa. Most go back tomorrow.

I'll put it out there and say that Eve Myles might become my new number one Welsh brunette ahead of Marina from Marina and the Diamonds. I'll have to think this one through.
Notch, at least you did do something. Better than not going at all.

Depends where and what your looking for, if your just going cheap the place is littered with Premier Inns, but you'll find something a little more plush around the center, ie westend or Knightbridge, but of course I could always recommend Casa del Hughie, superb spot and breakfast is usually included

Re: The Dew Drop Inn Virtual Rugby Pub
It's a survey. Its really annoying, because its multiple choice and the options I would want to put in a few questions. I would want to buy international tickets directly through Ulster Rugby, not a choice given. Asked to rate half-time entertainment; I want zero 'half-time entertainment' as it distracts me from discussing the game with whoever I'm with and reading the programme. Again not an option.

The thing with Marina is I didn't know she was Welsh. I thought she was nice, but then I got told in Afghan last year she was Welsh and that was it.

I can't look at Ruth again Glas. So many beauties, so little time.

Bore da pawb / good morning all, happy Friday!
I haven't heard a note of music by Marina and the Diamonds and I agree that it isn't a great name for a band, but I've heard plenty that are worse.

Re: The Dew Drop Inn Virtual Rugby Pub
Morning all.
hope all are well? I am shattered. needless to say it was an "eventful" night last night.
Heard people screaming last night saying "he is over here" and a whistle getting blown. Looked out my back window and a guy right in front of me climbing over my back wall. I asked what he was at. and he said "rat you will be shot". of which I replied, "oh you'll regret saying that buddy".
So I ran downstairs grabbed a garden sheers and ran out my back to see where he was. I promptly dropped the sheers when I realised that there were about 20 garda (police) in and out of all the back gardens looking for him.
Not sure what he had done but there was an ambulance up the road as well. interesting stuff.

I continue to wait. I spoke to someone from them yesterday to say that if/when I get that I can take a weeks holidays in August. But I have nothing definite yet. Their HQ in Japan are actioning it. They say that people on vacation is the reason for delay.
Still this keeps my options open.
Re: The Dew Drop Inn Virtual Rugby Pub
HR departments are always slow in the summer so I wouldn't worry, still it's always good to keep your options open.
Thats mad Mickyt but what exactly were you planning to do with the garden sheers?!

It might also speed things up. I'm amazed they considered me as I have ZERO marketing experience. But I sent a copy of my thesis which they loved. I told them about promoting rugby in Ghana and Germany and also about 606 and my Rugby Blog. They thought it was great and said that my enthusiasm for Rugby and my personality could make up for lack of third level marketing experience. I mentioned that online forums are under targetted and told them about the Kooga thing we have here. They said they want me to interview for it.
But I'd prefer the German Customer role. Better paid, better reputation, better hours.

Jez Micko, never a dull moment!
We hit the quiz last night for the first time in months. Kicked some rear and won. All in a days work. Rough as a badgers bellix this morning though, Danny Glover said it best - "I'm too old for this sh it!"

Rodders, no idea what I was going to do..
if the garda had of asked, I would of just suggested that I was going to cut down some of the flowers to make it easier for him to climb over the wall.
heart was going 90 for the night because my kitchen extension is a flat roof that means you can stand on it right against my bedroom window. if he did come back
I am not sure if someone was hurt or not. it was complete madness though

Hey stag good for you sir. I hope that works out and I wouldn't worry about the marketing experience as I'm sure there's probably not much to it other than drinking cups of tea.... I'm sure they're impressed with your enthusiasm and aptitude and your understanding of the internet and it's use in viral marketing is probably what they're looking for.

Re: The Dew Drop Inn Virtual Rugby Pub
We surely could. And we probably will, it’s what Thursday nights are made for!
The Gardai are pretty sound when it comes to stuff like that Mick, if you had told them that you were going to find yerman and cut his fingers off they probably would have said “fair enough, but if I have to take a statement then from you then you were doing some gardening”. I’ve been given some choice advice on intruders from them before.
