Donaire signs with GoldenBoy

I just heard a few reports That Donaire has signed with goldenboy. This is a real blow to Bob Arum as nonito is one of the biggest names in boxing at the moment.

What do you guys think about this? Will it turn out to be a good move for the filipino flash

Top Rank seem less open to talks with other promotional companies and around his weight there is only molitor, jorge arce and maybe winner of gamboa/lopez for future at Top Rank

Gotta be better for his career than staying with Top Rank and being fed in-house stooges.

Top Rank are a vile organisation.

Goldenboy are the company to be with and Donaire can look forward to some competitive matches that he wouldn't get Top Skank.

Pretty much, yeah. When GBP put on in-house match-ups there's not the same sense of one guy being the sacrificial lamb as there is with some recent TR bouts.

You can almost guarantee that if Cotto beats Margs he will fight Manny again. Probably for a MW title at 145. Arum will spout on about how Cotto is a new man etc......... zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

The situation with Cotto/Margarito and the way they're toyed with by uncle Bob is awful. He has no genuine interest in his fighters, only what they can make for him.

If you want to see the best fights, hope and pray that more fighters sign up with Don King. He always delivered great fights for the public.

He probably knew deep down that Bob Arum would have lost him millions of fans by fighting the Clotteys of the sport.

Donaire seems like a smart guy so fair play to him, would hate to see him fighting bums like his fellow countryman.
