The best private number plate that I have ever seen was owned by a particularly busty young lady who I once knew. She drove a very elegant convertible sports car which displayed the registration number BRA 40B   Laugh

In a similar vein, there is a number plate that has changed hands several times, at one time belonging to Steve Parish the former Moto GP rider and now commentator.

When I was 19 my mother bought me a private number plate to go on my new car. I was driving a Renault Clio cup 172 (the fast chavvy) model. It'd fitted on a new exhaust pipe so it sounded like a plane taking off at 30mph. I was so cool back then.

This trend of saying 'yes' or 'yeah' in the middle of a sentence (after a slight pause) whilst simultaneously nodding their head mid sentence or at the end of the statement.

It's as if the speaker is desparate for the listener to agree with what has just been said... and they are not entirely sure themselves and need to rely on low-grade rhetoric to convince us of their situation.

"I've worked really hard all year.... yeah... and I believe I deserved that promotion to Editor-In-Chief at Dolly Magazine" (nodding head)

Ticket barriers at train stations are a source of frustration. Why people who don't usually use the train think it is acceptable to get to the front of the queue THEN start looking for their ticket I'll never understand. It holds us important people who need to get to work.

It should be punishable by arrest.

Those Halifax staff choirs are awful. The whole idea of getting genuine staff to appear on adverts is stupid anyway. You wouldn't recruit staff based on their singing / acting ability, so why choose people for singing / acting roles based on where they work?

A friend of mine shouts the phrase 'Shut up' instead of OMG. Not in the high pitched towie style ' Ow mah Gawd' but in a gravely welsh accent ala Bonnie tyler.

My girlfriend, despite holding down a good job, it a total mong when it comes to speaking.

Overuse of the word 'like', finishes every sentence with 'ya know what a mean'.

When she comes out with her awful Southern speak I shout 'brappp' at her and refuse to respond. She doesn't like me much when I do that.

My mum just gave my 2yr old daughter a poppy. My wife chimed in about being careful of the pin and mum said "Oh don't worry, it's got adhesive on the back to stop you pricking your fingers"

So, millions of men died during the Great War in conditions so terrible it's almost beyond the comprehension of many of us. We wear the poppy to commemorate their sacrifices and in the most ironic twist ever, we're told we can't have a pin as we might get hurt. Makes a mockery of what they went through doesn't it. Can't imagine they'd be impressed with having their medals for bravery attached to their tunics with double sided sticky tape. Mind you, they'd be lucky to win one.

"Fix bayonets, prepare to charge the enemy!"

"You're joking aren't you Sarge, they're pretty sharp. What if it slips when I'm 'fixing' it, I could hurt myself and imagine what that other fella's going to feel like. Nah, if it's all the same to you, I'd like to speak to someone about a safer option and the possibility of an extended level of training followed by a presentation ceremony."

Speaking of Facebook - I really do hate the Suggested pages and ads which infiltrate my timeline. I wouldn't mind as much if the pages where relevant to me - but I'm neither Jewish, Israeli or post opinions on the Holy Land - so why it keeps suggesting I like Israeli nationalist pages is beyond me!

Drivers who don't bother indicating under the assumption that everyone else on the road has telepathic capabilities.

Middle lane hoggers. Should be able to call in Close Air Support Apaches and have them Hellfired off the motorway.
