I don't like the hyperbole either Viva, people bigging up their players rather than telling us how they'll play.

I ignore it altogether

When people put up things such as "too hot to handle" "destroyed the midfield" I don't count them as reasons.

Exactly that's not tactics, you can't tell your striker to score, I always instruct Huntelaar to move around the CB, peel away, make late runs, rather then score.

There was a video on Sir Alex once and showing clips of aUnited game and he screams at Irwin "Play good Football Dennis" sometimes the most simple instructions are the most effective.

It's when people write out stuff like "blah blah is the best playmaker in the world" or "will tear the defense apart". Just tell them what you want them to do! People will make their minds up about the players.

Adrian isn't great, although he's overshadowed by Falcao in RL.

As for Treble's game, I'm exempt as I voted a draw and made no mention of his strikers.

Back from Alton Towers, queues were tiny! Think everyone must have thought not to go with it being the bank holiday and a lot of being would be doing jubilee stuff.

In regards to the tactics, I could quite easily see mine beating yours OTW, yes you said to push my wingers wide, but with both wingers playing to go around the players anyway and the striker looking to use a burst of speed to quickly meet the cross across the ground whilst the other winger also comes into the box then that equals goals. Yes you may believe your tactics should have worked but people read BOTH sides.

Difference is that when you pack so many players in the centre, all you can do is go wide, it doesn't work when you have tidgy players against my back four who are all 6 foot +

To be fair OTW just because your defenders are all 6 foot + doesn't mean they will win all the headers. Simeon Jackson who plays for Norwich is constantly winning headers against defenders of that height even though he is only around 5 ft 9 in. It is all about timing of the jump and run etc

Cisse though is looking for balls played along the floor between the gap of centreback and keeper as stated with...

Time your runs today, expecting the defence to play deep, a quick burst of pace and you'll find yourself in the space between the CB and th keeper where it's a simple tap in.
so it will allow you to go outside beating the man and getting balls across the box if needed

So your 6fters make no difference when a fast and Pacy striker is instead using acceleration and timing to beat them.

If the defence is playing deep and little space between keeper and defence his pace won't be effective. I'd say someone with close control of the ball would be more useful.

And just because a fullback is instructed to take a winger does not necessarily mean they will, once again it becomes the old school argument of 'I shot you, no I shot you first'.

He's not, he's a good person I reckon, very intelligent.

I think he's a good football player but it's overshadowed by his inability to control himself when he sees the rest mist!

If he was that intelligent, don't you think he would be clever enough not to get involved in these scuffles etc?

I think he's more intelligent, agree in the past he was a Tinkywinky, but since joining Newcastle he's done well for himself.

As for last night, he said on twitter:
"I got sucker punched in the back of the head. Not injured as reported just a small bruise on rear of head/ear. I've had worse. Life goes on! Thanks for the concern. Have a good day people."

"Not planning on pressing charges as its not that serious. The police have also got better things to do with their time."

"Can I just say a public thanks to the police last night as they were and have been today brilliant."
