Just found out that he's battling cancer, wishing him all the best and hope he wins this fight.

Terrible news, a genuinely great trainer and seemingly one of the sports good guys, can only hope he makes a full recovery.

Stay strong OneTwo. A good friend's father was diagnosed with throat cancer 2 weeks ago. He had surgery 2 days ago. So far so good. These things are curable nowadays.

Hopefully they got it diagnosed early and its not one of the more aggressive types. Reports say he is continuing to train fighters for the moment so I hope that means its not too bad.

Just read an update from Mannys sister on boxing scene and thankfully it doesn't sound like cancer, It's quoted as saying

Thankfully cancers stayed away from my nearest and dearest, but I've known others who've fought and won, and others who didn't.
Steward should fight cautious and dominate it behind the jab.
