What Is Andre Ward's Stupid Problem?

I mean he 'dominated' Carl Froch in the first fight say most. He had a 'broken hand say his camp. He's the 'S.O.G'

So, why the hell wont he come to the UK to make three times more than he does in the U.S to fight a guy he's already beaten is dominating fashion in front of an adoring crowd of blood thirsty scrapers?

The man had a real ego and is afraid, these are the only two reasons I can think of.

Froch is rated highly in UK only. Ward slapped him easily and should be paid handsomely to slap him again.

He hasnt said he wont come to the UK. He has told Hearn to get on the phone and talk business instead of playing games through the media.

I dont think Hearn wants the fight right now and I dont think he serious about making it happen. A loss would likely be the end for Froch and why risk that happen when you can look at easy sell fights like Groves or Kessler III which Froch would most likely win.

The only incentive for Ward to come to the UK to beat Froch again is if Hearn comes up with an offer that makes it worth his while financially. At the moment I dont think Hearn is interested in doing that. Hes just playing games and stalling because he doesnt want to risk the end of Frochs career when he has things so good at the moment.

It really was a terrible interview, he came across very poorly.

He was correct when he said that to make it you have to do it in America.

That is an arrogant line that is no longer correct. The shows in the USA are struggling to sell, it is well down the pecking order in the states, the big names are nothing.

Americans are interested in the big men, always have been and that has been dominated for the last 15 years by europeans.

He said Atlantic City was not his back yard. A 5 hour flight away on the other side of the country. Putting it in context for those that claim and continue to claim that the fight was in Wards backyard (California).

I dont think he comes across half as poorly as Froch with his jet lag, judges against me and pick pocketing excuses.

They are using the fact that the fight took place in the U.S to disguise the reality that Froch was beaten by a better fighter. And know they are trying to discredit Ward so they can put the fight on hold if need be.

Froch has earned a rematch, if he wants it, but not the right to dictate all the terms. Hearn wont be in any rush to fight Ward again regardless of where the fight takes place. If he can get Groves a title or tempt Kessler out for a third fight then he would prioritise those fights.

Maybe if Froch didn't spout rubbish in the media Ward would more willing to discuss the fight.

I'm not entirely sure that America's grip on big-time boxing, in terms of being the place to establish yourself, the place to make the most money, the place where the best crop of fighters will generally be found etc, has loosened as much as some want us to believe.

Pacquiao and Alvarez, right now, are arguably the two biggest non-American stars in the sport, but nonethless they've still fought their biggest fights in the States and really built their name there. It's not as if they come from countries where boxing is an afterthought, either. Granted, the Klitschkos do fantastic business across Europe, primarily Germany, but in their pomps seldom has there been a decent American to fight in any case. Even so, the pair of them both took care of an American opponent or two Stateside earlier on in their careers, and as recently as 2009 Vitali travelled over to put Arreola away.

Regardless of that though, someone like Wladimir, established clearly as the top man in his division, has fought his way in to a position where he can justifiably hold all the negotiating cards. No matter what Froch or Hearn say, Carl just hasn't done this, as he was well beaten by Ward once already.

As I said to Hampo on last night's podcast, I'd love to see a rematch on these shores, and I'd like to think that Ward would give it real consideration, but I'm not going to start spouting fanciful claims of him ducking or running scared of Froch, or owing him a fight in Britain.

And as others have said, with his point-blank denial of how conclusive a victory Ward scored over him in Atlantic City, the excuses for it he keeps offering up and his constant belittling of the American's style, Froch isn't exactly improving his chances of having Ward accommodate his wishes.

Unless you can think of an island in the Atlantic that can host major boxing matches, You could not have found a location that was equally distant for both fighters.

Based on the first fight. no!. Froch looked clueless in that fight. Maybe Froch has improved but at the age of 36 and the mental barrier of knowing he got outclassed in the first fight I just dont see him winning or even being compeitive.

Not really because Ward is American and Froch is not so Ward still had home advantage even if the distance is the same. If a fighter from Newcastle travelled to London to fight a French fighter from calais, the french fighter may be closer to London but the home advantage is with the English fighter from newcastle.
