Ok I accept that, but wwe give you the same false hope they always do, and everyone buys it, Yea they have done good things with the guys coming through but I wouldnt say they have been presented on the same level as "the" guys. If cena hadn't been off Bryan would be where he is and now that he is back Bryan is now shifted from the main picture. End of the day Cena and Orton will contest the unification match and Sandow will hardly figure on smackdown or Raw.

For someone who only 'joined' the forum on 18/09/2013 you've sure learnt what this place is like in 6 weeks. 6 weeks where I've hardly seen any opinions slated and the board has been very very quiet.

Back to the point, I think it's reasonable to say the WHC title is immediately more important now cos Cena has it. You can't fight his reputation

Jumpin' John Cena holding the World Heavyweight Championship immediately means it will get more attention, there's no two ways about it.

Whether or not it's a concerted effort by WWE to restore some of the World Heavyweight title's lustre or if it's just being used as a means to keep Jumpin' John out of the WWE title picture remains to be seen.

Do you not agree it only has prestige because Cena is presented as a big deal, raw is literally Cena, Im sure if they had presented Sandow from the time he won money in the bank uptill Monday's cash in as a big deal the title would mean as much.

Of course. Anyone who holds the World title should be presented as a big deal but for one reason or another the WHC has been overlooked for a long time now. If WWE are serious about bringing some prestige back to the belt then John Cena's as good a place as any to start because he's their biggest star.

Instantly, the title will get more attention from fans as well as the creative team so now the rebuilding process can begin. As I said before though, time will tell if this is actually going to be a proper rebirth for the WHC or if it's just keeping Cena away from the WWE title whilst ostensibly keeping him as one of the main men.

I don't think it would be as big a deal. Sandow is still a newcomer and even if he was presented to be a major star, he still wouldn't be as over as Cena. Sandow hasn't had a proper feud in the company either, you can't expect him to jump straight into the main event scene. If he had the build up he might be seen as a threat but Sandow doesn't even appear in the main PPV show. I don't think he is ready yet, he's not a brock lesnar who can work his way through the top straight away.

It also helps that I think more kids watch Smackdown and thats Cena's target audience really. They can focus on him on Smackdown and it will make up for being a side feud on Raw rather than the main deal in its entirety. If they use a variety of heels to have feuds then they will be exposed to really focused TV time. So its a good thing for the heels, and probably for the belt. Long term, it could elevate the belt, thus elevating future champs. Probably not for long though.

I get your point, that ideally they'd have elevated everyone who has held it to that level, but it isnt whats happened so we take the positive that Cena brings to it.
