Burns vs Crawford

Eddie Hearn just announced this on twitter. Date still to be confirmed, will be some time in feb. thoughts on this match up ?

Crawford is a classy operator. He's got the skills to expose the very limited Ricky Burns.

If the fights in the USA, the judges will be fair.

If it's in Scotland, Crawford will need a KO.

Fight is in scotland. Most probably the new hydro or emirates arena.

I think this fight could spell retirement for burns. Agreed with Gerry, Crawford is a classy operator. A switch hitter with power, I think he could stop burns.

It would be sad if Crawford where to get robbed like his stablemate Beltran.

Also hope the winner of this fight faces Vazquez.

not sure they will get away with another robbery. often comes back to haunt you second time around. Crawford should win this easily enough.

I haven't seen much of Crawford. He looks classy enough and a calm fighter. I'll watch some of his stuff on youtube before the fight.

Consensus seems to be he's a level or two above Burns. Beltran exposed Burns' credentials, I can't see him fancying Crawford as a comeback fight. Wouldn't be surprised if this doesn't happen.

Really like Crawford, think he's a really classy operator, he is a nightmare match up for burns and I'm sure he'll stop him

Ricky will need to be above and beyond anything we have seen from him so far. No way will Hearn get away with another rip off.

This could be the downward spiral of Matchroom. If Burns loses this then only Froch is the last world title holder and the way he was in his last fight shows he may not have the world title much longer.

And out of his stable who could realistically become a world champ any time soon??

Is GG a matchroom fighter?

If so I'd say him, could easily be a world champ by the end of 2014.

Losing Framps is an issue though as he'd have been another good bet.

The Froch fight was the last fight on match rooms books mate so I'd say he has a lot of options after that showing
