To be honest, my choice of phone comes down to 2 things.

1. I'm not really a phone person anyway.
2. I don't use my phone that often beyond internet when I'm travelling and the occasion work call.

And on the bright side 4G.

Going back to EE (used to be on TMobile) so I have signal.

735 is a decent mid-range phone. Personally i like the windows network. I'm looking at the 930 or 1020 myself.

As I say, I don't really use my phone often enough to justify a big contract.

If you want really cheap, use Carphone Warehouses own network (uses Vodafone signal). My old phone was like 7 quid per

I've had my Lumia 920 for over a year, £26 per month with Three, unlimited texts, unlimited data and 500 minutes. Bought a heavy duty case due to my clumsiness and its still in very good working order.

I am going to buy one outright, there's a website which sells refurbs which are in top nick but so much cheaper than buying brand new.

Three do a deal where you get mins, texts and data for about £7, well good.

Smalling is getting a lot of harsh criticism, the first yellow card was stupid but the second one was a 50/50 challenge and he didn't beat Milner to the ball, had he not ballsed up and got the first yellow its a different game.

The eldest one Noah. I know it comes across as an overzealous dad but he does genuinely have talent as well as the right attitude, never mucks about, listens and applies what he's taught, passes when someone else is in a better position, is aware of his positioning and others, marks players, can use both feet, can hold up play, can beat several players, can feint a run etc etc.

The second yellow wouldn't have been an issue if he hadn't already been booked, the issue with it is that he was already booked, knowing that he shouldn't have risked the tackle.

If Smalling thought he would win the ball, there's no reason why he shouldn't have gone for the tackle. Error of judgement at worst, only magnified by his stupid first yellow.

At the risk of setting off Viva, when are serious questions asked about Van Gaal?

Van Gaal didn't sign the top quality CB(s) everyone knew they needed when Vidic and Ferdinand left, that is 100% his doing. He found time to sign Falcao but not a CB.

Same as Moyes. Moyes only went when they knew 100% he wouldn't make the Champions League, Van Gaal has to be given the same timescale as that. Only 4 points off 4th place due to the inconsistency of this league this year.

That's for Manchester United's scouting system and management to answer. Jones and Evans aren't the top quality players you think they are, and Rojo, yet to settle would be a fair assessment of him.

Off the top of my head, they could have signed any of these and they would be an improvement on what they had.

Ryan Shawcross, Winston Reid, Calum Chambers, Thomas Vermaelen, Federico Fernandez. All of those were available to a club the size of United and they didn't sign any of them, arguably not top quality but an improvement on what you have. And that's not including the likes of Hummels and Benatia who a huge offer could have possibly tempted them.

Benatia was there all summer, went Bayern in the end once Badstuber got hurt iirc.

I'm not saying Evans and Jones are top quality but they are good players, Jones has had a good season and I think Evans is their best centre back.

The likes of Shawcross and Reid are a joke right? What's the point in spending £15m or so on those players who wouldn't do much more than what we already have, it wouldn't make much difference and it would be a waste of money. Hummels, Benatia and one or two others are very good players to sign, but I don't think either of them wold have moved to United. There's not many top tier centre backs out there.

Shawcross and Reid were not jokes, not as good as the others I listed but in my opinion better than Jones and Evans. Based on form over the past 18 months, and they wouldn't have been £15m players either.

Reid would be probably a third of that. His contracts up in the summer. 

Even Vidal, the noises all summer were that he was available. United could use him far more than another striker.

Fernandez left Napoli's starting XI for Swansea, Man U should have been in for him.
Chambers left Southampton for Arsenal, Man U should have been in for him.
Vermaelen left Arsenal to be Barca's 4th choice CB, Man U should have been in for him.
Benatia was obviously leaving Roma but no-one bid for him, Bayern did last minute and got him. Man U should have been in for him.

They needed them before Vidic and Ferdinand left.

I agree with Marky, everyone is being overly harsh on Smalling, yes he made a mistake a very stupid one. Rooney didn't get as much as stick for kicking Downing (Far worse). 

We need a CB and should have signed someone, Shawcross and Reid are better than what we have but I'd rather wait until next season (proving we make top 4) to attract a big name. 

The squad is massively unbalanced and changes need to be made for next season. Di Maria I personally think should be played through the middle if we want to see the best out of him but that leaves Rooney and Mata put of position. 

With LVG I can see improvements in the way we're playing, less of the long ball that Moyes played and that mentality Moyes bought in. There are still huge problems to fix that Sir Alex left behind and it's unfair on Moyes he took the brunt of it, I still maintain he should have been given longer but I have to support the new manager. I'm confident that we'll get top 4 partly because Liverpool are poor and we've got the quality.

Problem with the Smalling sending off was him doing something silly for his first booking and then the impact the sending off had on the game.

At that point I felt Fellaini and Blind had started to get the upper hand on Toure and Fernandinho in the middle, but the sending off changed that completely. United had to drop back more and gave them more space to play.

That one silly mistake by Smalling played a large part in United losing.

Same with Benteke for Villa. Silly thing to do and cost the team big time at a time when confidence is already low

I'm not a fan of Carrick at CB unless it's last resort. We've played him there before against West Ham and he did well but there's other times like against Bayern where he has messed up, put him up against a big CF he'll lose out.
