Just a post asking how other clubs put themselves about there buisness.

Who collects player availabilities for the following weeks?
Who Picks the team? Is it purely the coach? Captains? Commities or just picked on a Saturday? 
How do you go about subs? 
How do you attract sponsors?
Do you make full use of grand draw tickets? If so how?
How do you identify coach/Player development? Is there someone there to do it all?

Who Picks the team? Is it purely the coach? Captains? Commities or just picked on a Saturday?

For the 1st XV the coach and captain select the team. 30 man Squad is selected by them plus captains of 2nds and 3rds - and does change across the season. any players not needed are made available for the 3rds.

2nds selected by captain and seconds coach.

3rds/4ths/5ths/6ths and Vets - Captain.


How do you go about subs?
No subs for 1sts - who have their expenses covered.
Captains collect for all other sides.

How do you attract sponsors?
Club committee

Do you make full use of grand draw tickets? If so how?
Usually organised by the bar committee. Weekly raffles, grand draws for sponsor prizes and England tickets etc.

How do you identify coach/Player development? Is there someone there to do it all?
Hmm not great. 1st team coach recruited from outside. Second team coach a former captain. Team captains recommend players for promotion - however unless you stand a chance of playing for the 1sts - most stay where they are. 3rds can beat the 2nds, but so can the 6ths.

You forgot about mentioning who ensures that players are registered correctly. Sadly as it turned out no-one at my club - so relegation pretty much guaranteed this season for the 1sts
