If that man could apply the focus and concentration for an entire match that he displays in spasmodic spurts he would have been one of the greatest on tour.. when he turns on his magic it is brilliant. He is so imaginative his opponent has not got a clue where he is going to put the next shot (mind you neither does he). But he is so entertaining

Cuevas loses his break. Monfils should be able to pull this out now.

If he can treat Tennis as a competitive sport, not a circus, he would [have] be[en] a wonderful player.

I absolutely agree.. but having said that he is such a personable guy, his sense of humour so refreshing.. but most of all he is a character and we need some of that. Remember Henri Leconte LF?

Characters are sorely missing in men's tennis today...that's why I will always watch a Monfils match, win or lose.

Well played Monfils. Huge assist from the crowd, I feel a bit bad for Cuevas as he played well until then, but that's part of the game. Gael really stepped it up when he needed to.
