WWA Season 9 Sign-Up Thread.

WWA Season 9 - Start Date Pending.

Hey! Thanks for showing your interest in WWA! Before we make a start on anything, the WWA Board have decided that we will see what interest is out there before any concrete decisions are made such as start dates and such... We will be looking to have a minimum of 8 participants (Promotions). We will be looking to slightly freshen things up this season so WWA will be taking a look through the feedback from last season and be open to any further suggestions within this topic.

If you are interested in signing up, please state your interest along with if you want to run a solo promotion or if you are up for teaming up with somebody. Once we have our names, those who have stated they want to be part of a team will then be drawn together unless any of you can work out a team before hand.

I'm tempted but equally I don't know if I'll have enough time. Would be a solo run, have been in enough dynamic duos in the past with WWA (Catchy, Sexy, Witty and Delightful Wrestling with Demon, that soap opera one with Olly we never finished)

Added Thunder to the list and have added Marky is the maybe pile while he makes up his mind... Marky you will still get first refusal before we give your spot away.

Fernando is looking to team up Gregers so perhaps that could be an option? I'm also looking for help but I do have unfinished business from last season so could do with somebody ideally joining me...

Will there be a word limit on shows? Think part of the skill is getting the shows across without writing essays, also means more likely to get the show in if they can be shorter when people's interest begins to wane after 3 or 4 weeks.

Also Nando I'm not a cripple, but I am after a blue badge Wink

I guess this is the place to post this...I've suggested it before but I thought I'd bring it up again.

A free pick to start the season. Everyone sends their pick to an impartial person, if you're the only person to go for that superstar then you get them no cost...if you pick someone that someone else has picked then you will both be given the choice to pick another person...if you refuse then the two of you must bid for that name with the money coming out of the initial budget.

This way we all get someone to build our season around and by involving an impartial person (wouldn't be too hard to find) nobody has an advantage.

What do people think of this idea?

Could work but it also stops people paying over the odds for someone they need desperately.

Any takers in teaming with me this season?

The reason I suggested it is I have one name I really really want but who would be hard to get...this way, I get a name I want without being ripped off and others get to as well.

I know a few of us have that dream name in mind so I think trialing the idea this season could be a good idea.

Which of you guys are teaming up? Once we work that out we can see how many spots we actually have...would 6 spots be too little? Could have bye weeks to fill the quota for shows

If Marky decides to run on his own and Jai teams up with somebody we will have 6 so only have two more spaces left to fill.... We have tried with just 6 in the past and it really doesn't work. The roster's become way to strong and the fixtures become much more shorter.

We'll give it another few days / week and see what interest we have and make a formal decision.

The plan is to do a 10 day week with 4 days to vote. So would finish before Xmas. If Jai is in then we have enough to start.

Fernando, have you decided on who you would like to team with? I don't mind if you wish to team with Jai but I could also do with the help so we will have to see if we can sort something out.

WWA Board will be making a start on admin things later today so hopefully we will have some news about the upcoming rules changes...

It's all part of the fun Samo... Once you are given your starting roster it doesn't mean you are stuck wit them, you can buy, sell and trade with other promotions within the game.

We should have some rules up before the end of play tonight.

Just to let you all know, we have already sorted all the rosters that will be featuring this season so we now just need to wait for Fernando to work his magic and draft-up some starting rosters!

I hope we go with my suggestion but I don't like the idea of a smaller budget haha
I'm happy to go with a word count limit as sometimes reading 7 shows on a busy week can be a bit much if the shows are super long (guilty of this myself).

I know it was banned last season but any chance the rule of design work being able to be part of trades? I get it if it isn't but if it is I'd be happy too haha

Viper - You will not be allowed to sell Graphic Design or any other type of personal services for any WWA type transaction.
