WWA Season 10 Sign-Up Thread.

WWA Season 10 - Start Date Pending.
Welcome to the World Wrestling Association. Established for a number of years now, WWA is now one of the longest reigning sports gaming leagues present on 606v2. To celebrate our tenth season, we are looking to make things a lot more brighter, bigger and better so if any of our new or returning members have any suggestions or feedback, here is the place to do so. We have taken a look through all the feedback from last season and will start to announce some of the fresh new changes in the coming days.

As always, we will be looking to have a minimum of 8 participants (Promotions). If you are interested in signing up, please state your interest along with if you want to run a solo promotion or if you are up for teaming up with somebody. Once we have our names, those who have stated they want to be part of a team will then be drawn together unless any of you can work out a team before hand. If the league is full and options to extend are not able then priority will go to people with previous history in WWA.

Thinking about it, I'd join Season 10 if the rules were tightened to stop essay writing.

I only want to write matches in a sentence or two, and because others write essays I get marked down for it.

I also got marked down for poor booking but whatever

I'm in! I agree about the match writing stuff...also I think the guide of having segments at a max of around 5 lines was good from last season.

I'll be running solo so will be having the 8th spot. Because of the great response, Gregers will be given the choice but could do with either a team forming or stretching to 10 entries.

How are we dealing with people messing up deadlines this season? Last season was a bit silly with every single week being held back and causing further delays...I'd suggest more injuries or fines...maybe have a strike system?

I think having short matches could help delays not happen.

With Gregers confirmed we now have 9 participants. Marky hasn't stated that he's confirmed, just the reasons why he doesn't want to participate this season which is fair enough.

Now we can either extend to 10 participants or we can take Engel up on his kind offer and put together a team to accommodate everybody so we have a round number which works better for fixtures.

Yet to make a decision on deadlines this season but I think something will be enforced. The thing about the length of matches and segments are no matter what we try to enforce, shows gradually get longer and longer. Some people moan about the length of matches, some about the length of segments, we aren't going to please each and every one of you.

What ever rules come into play I will adhere to try to follow. Glad to see Engel come on board. Me and Viper were chatting about it the other week actually and came to the conclusion that he'd make an awesome addition. Will we be getting 3 picks again this season?

We are going to be implementing some fresh ideas regarding a couple of things for the new season which I will go into detail about once we have our confirmed line-up for Season 10.

Very happy with the response we have had for the new season. Happy to see some fresh blood in Engel and happy to see the returns of Crimey, Samo and JJ who make excellent additions.

Anybody willing to take Engel up on his offer so we can accommodate 8 entries? If you think you may struggle for time over the course of the season, this is an excellent opportunity to ease the workload as the season progresses. I'm prepared to wait for a 10th entrant but the sooner we get this sorted, the quicker we can start to move onto more important things.
