One thing I will say, I saw that flag on Norman for the hands to the face. he err brushed Bryant's facemask. How can you be so picky about that and not flag the blatant hits to the helmet Newton suffered last week? Seems we are in for another inconsistent season from the refs again. Rolling Eyes

Yeah, don't look too hard skins... there are no positives. Unless you regard Dustin Hopkins still being a good Kicker and Tress Way still being a good Punter as positives??

But that's my point. There are helmet hits going on and NOT getting flagged when they should, and the give a ticky tacky call for brushing the facemask with your open hand? If you are going to call everything, and if you are going to allow judgement, try to be consistent. Seems too random still.

Browns are down another QB, Cody Kessler will be starting Sunday. Kind of want to see them start a different QB every game.

He isn't good, but he wasn't helped by the most conservative gameplan/play calling I've seen in a long time

It's the Patriots defence - not the 85 Bears Bill O'B

Those 3rd and 7/8 runs were abhorrent when you have Hopkins pretty much catching everything within a five mile radius of him

Vikings have nothing but punting and defense and are only two down to the Panthers. This is all set to be the most 'what if?' season any team's ever had.

Is there any actual point anymore to the NFL's instant replay system? It just seems to be a system these days that is used to confirm the ruling on the field even if that ruling is wrong.

Well I'm very pleased with that one... not least because the Redskins season was on the line tonight but also cos the Giants player's have been running their mouths off about us for 2 weeks now and it's always extra satisfying to shut any team up when they've been doing that.... especially when means winning in NY.

Defense came up huge in that 4th quarter... although you always fancy your chances of INT or 2 when Eli is around.

Full list of coaches that were in charge for at least 40 games and have a worse win% than Gus Bradley: Steve Spagnuolo, Rod Marinelli, Bert Bell (Eagles 1936-41).

If you are talking about the incomplete pass in the EZ that should have been a pick, definitely. Can't see what angel they had that ruled him OOB, but ball never hit the ground so he definitely had possession. Be nice if they explained why it was confirmed instead of just leaving us bemused. Rolling Eyes

At least it was a win, and barring the last play of the 1st half (and frankly, I'd have kicked the FG there as the Giants were always going to blitz), Cousins seemed to be much more in synch. No INT's.

Bit of a bitch about Hall though and hope Breeland isn't hurt bad. Sad

On another note, do the entire Browns team have money on them going 0-16, or is this the result of RGIII walking into the locker room and them deciding they need to draft a QB next year?

He's good, but they are giving him a scheme that works well for his lack of playbook knowledge, and the Steelers secondary should have been shredded by now. Not knocking him, but wait until he comes up against a D like the Hawks or Broncos. Then we'll see if he's the real deal. He definitely worries me when the Skins play them. We've got injuries in the secondary like the Steelers and Barner could have a field day against our run D.

I'd also say the Eagles D is playing well which is probably helping keep the pressure down on the rookie. Right now they have to be favourites for the NFC East.

He's got it all - cannon arm, but can also throw touch passes and anticipate throws. Making pre snap adjustments in and out of plays, and the thing I've been most impressed by is his pocket presence. He just looks so at home there.

Early days obviously but he looks the real deal. Obviously the browns passing on him means he's destined for greatness too

I kinda admire the Titans - for 58 minutes a week they stubbornly play against their strengths to see if they can pull it back in the final two minutes playing to their strengths.

Great result for the Eagles last night... NFC East has been everyone's favourite division to bash for a few years now so it's nice to see one of the team's dish out a beating to one of the "big" teams.

Thought it was time for the Saints to move on from Payton this offseason and start grooming a serious successor behind Brees. Mickey Loomis is lucky he's in big with the Owner as he's been consistently one of the worst GMs in the league.

The magics gone in NO. There's just an awful defense and a lot of empty yards left. The Superdome used to be a fortress, nobody is scared to go there anymore.

Wentz joins Mark Sanchez as the only rookies in NFL history to start and win each of his team’s first 3 games of a season. The 2009 Jets went 9-7 and lost in AFC Championship Game.

The problem for the Saints is now the super dome is a hinderance. It's great for their offence to play there cos it makes them faster, but it makes opposing offences pretty much impossible to face.

Then when they go on the road their offence is crap cos they can't play outdoors, yet the defence plays better outdoors

End the franchise already
