Thanks, JimBob.

Can we still qualify for the QFs of this? Even if we can, I guess we only have a small chance and it'll be dependent on not only us winning but also other results going our way. On that basis, I would have been inclined to give the Burger Van and/or Kapil a go.

Anyway, we are where we are. Agree about Meaks being on the bencht as usual. Not as sure as you about the other two. Don't think Sam's place is watertight. Maybe him or Pillans to miss out and then one of the batters as you suggest.

Cheers, JimBob. Burger Van and Kapil don't really seem to be going anywhere with Surrey.

Another good call on the eleven, JimBob! thumbsup

I'm no great fan of Davies but would have him in my t20 side ahead of Burns and, unless it's planned for him to bowl, Sibley.

It's just not working for Sam Curran atm! After Dernbach opens with a maiden, Sam bowls the second and goes for 12 including a six and a four.

Cheers, JimBob.

Meanwhile, Batty goes for 17 in his first over. Looks like he and Sam will be forming an expensive combo. Possibly Sibley might join them although I think he's better bowling earlier.

Sussex 153/6 off their 20. Good figures from Dernbach, Tom Curran, Morris and Azhar, each with 1 or 2 for 20 odd. By contrast, the Sam Curran & Batty combo went wicketless for 49.

Ours to win or lose from here many would think.

Good early wicket getting Finch.

Roy is going strong, much like he did at Hove. What a player.

Huge wicket of Roy.

No idea why we brought Nash on though, that 11 runs could be the costing ones. Poor from Wright.

Burns gone. 13 off 13. Pretty typical and not what's really required.

Sibley goes and scoreboard reads 116/4 off 14.1. 38 needed off 35 balls. This is Sussex's chance but they have to take wickets.

Archer strikes!

32 from 5 overs. Still advantage Surrey, but the fizz does still have 2 overs remaining.

122 - 4 after 15.  Useful 40 from Sibley.  Apart from Foakes, we're down to bits and pieces players.  Really need Foakes to stay to the end.

Morris finishes it with a six Yahoo  Good batting from Roy and Sibley and very useful contributions from Foakes and Morris.

Applause (genuine) for Derbach's first ever T20 maiden for Surrey.  clap clap

(I think only Azhur Mahmood (4) and Rikki Clarke (2) have ever bowled more than one T20 maiden overs during their Surrey careers.)

Corporal - all in all, I reckon that Dernbach comes up with more pluses than minuses for Surrey.

I particularly noted that he got a mention from Batty for his 12th man duties at Hampshire this week
