Why the new homepage?

It has a cap of 20 pages on here before a new one has to be added unfortunately.

I don't think that's particularly fair, as not everyone has had their game simmed yet.

Bonuses should be added when all games are done and Hero confirms who gets them

Thought they'd be as soon as you'd done tactics, would've been a good reason to do them early

Was my thinking also. Managed to sign the player I was after anyway, and I've finally made a proper shortlist of my short-term targets before signing a bunch of 17-21 year olds in the hope they'll be my future 11.

I’m open to them being applied earlier, but I think the earliest it could be is Friday. Then you are not buying players with it that could in theory be in your starting XI that week.

It's a bonus for getting them in before the deadline, not for doing them

Shouldn't be added before the tactics deadline really

I don't get the point of the friday deadline considering most games are usually done over the weekend anyway.

Also don't get why we get money for answering questions it's very odd

I don’t get it, if you submit tactics then sign someone that player can’t be in your tactics that week as you’ve already submitted!

I would guess, theoretically, if you were to be able to sign someone this week when it shouldn’t be something you can do that gives you an advantage to someone who might have been signing them next week. It’s unlikely, I guess, but the Tuesday signing shootout is the rule

But surely with the two signing rule, if you only sign one player. Comes to getting the bonus. You can just sign second player on the Saturday/Sunday now. Which is an advantage on the next Tuesday the way you’re looking at it but it’s also a disadvantage on the previous Tuesday when you could’ve signed two players

But if you haven’t waited and people following it have waited, you’ve gained an advantage, haven’t you? Even in that system, if you do it beforehand, assuming you have it, someone else hasn’t assumed and they’re behind?

I don’t think it’s high on the crimes here! Or that’ll make a difference to anything either.

I have no issue at all if people want to change it to getting the cash when tactics handed in. Agree it encourages people to get them in earlier.

From a budget tracking point of view it's easier for me to add them all in 1 go rather than wondering why someone has spent more than they have because they've added a tactics bonus and I didn't know

I don’t mind if it is earlier than we do at the moment, but I think it needs to wait until after squad cut off at the earliest.

In theory you could play anyone in their squad up to the end of Thursday. Whilst you will know you have done your tactics and not be playing the new signing, your opponent won’t know you have submitted and might think they can play, doing tactics based on that.

At one point we did change the lawyers week to Friday to Thursday, and then it fell back to Tuesday to Monday. Could change it again? Would tie in with tactics.

Also, as there were no objections, I am going to apply the end of season approach posted earlier in the week.

I will post a separate page that will show the team rankings, and the respective bonuses for each based on finishing position.

Bam - nothing urgent, but could you have a look at putting in a calculation to your file of the average player value in the league that updates automatically through the season.

Hope the newbies are all enjoying the FIFA approach. It does have some limitations, but we feel it really brings another level to the fake
Management game and has definitely breathed new life into the v2 leagues

Definitely enjoyed the first game - not just because I won handily but because it allowed me to see the weak spots of my team straight away. Plus, the weekday games allow me to waste a little bit more time at work...

I blame that tactics guide I used. My team played nothing like that guide suggested it would.

I'd like it to be played latest Monday night if possible, even if using his last week tactics. Reason being is how my team plays will dictate what foreign I go for on Tuesday.

Based on Soddy not being online for over a week, I think that might be the best thing to do

It is based on TM value.

The rationale behind that is that there is going to be a lot of buying and selling, and all teams are going to largely move on from their starting squad.

The speed at which you can do this is determined by the money you are getting in, which is in turn determined by the value of your squad. Colchester had one of the lower TM values.

Then if teams have identicial TM values, I have used their FIFA ratings as a secondary ranking

There is also this. Overall FIFA ranking is based only on their starting XI, whereas TM value considers the whole squad

I think both should be incorporated into the expected position. Especially when you consider Colchester are bossing it IRL.

Open to suggestions, but I think if we incorporate FIFA ratings, it needs to factor in the rating of the whole squad.

Big pressure on MK Dons to deliver with that TM value, they're operating at a different level to most of the rest of the league

I think Afro has it right, while Colchester may have a small advantage in terms of the opening few weeks, by Week 4 it's conceivable that sides will be playing a starting XI of players not originally in their squad, so TM value has to be the measuring stick IMO.

Does it take into account the exponential growth that teams will have over the course of the season. Over 30 weeks MK Dons accepting lawyers for 500k players and then getting lawyers for the 550k players, and then 600k players etc is generating a lot more additional funds than me getting lawyers on 50k, 55k, 60k players.

Not sure it’s just an early advantage either!

Probably the best way to do the rankings though as it’s rather impossible to find balance between value, starting XI ability and squad average.

Saying all that, I’m finding that affordable players with a near 70 rating are usually good at about 2 things, but genuinely Poopie footballers and people
