Post by JJJohnson Mon 19 Feb 2024, 12:28 pm

*We go live on air from inside Arthur Ashe and there is a sell-out crowd on hand. The commentators welcome us to the show and run down the card for tonight before moving onto Alex Walker's announcement. Does it tie together with Blue Dragon cashing in his title shot? What decision has Blue Dragon made? RJ & JT are hyping up an historic show here in New York City tonight before we get a scene from earlier in the day where Blue Dragon arrived at Arthur Ashe. Jack Reynolds tries to get a word with BD and question him on what championship he will challenge for but Dragon merely smirks as he enters the building.

*Eddy Kent is still outraged and angry for what went down last week. He is standing in front of Rex, Sweetwater and Roth inside the "Genesis" dressing room and he is letting each and every one of them know that it is "on sight" the moment they see any member of their opposition. Kent is adamant that Genesis will reign supreme once more and sooner rather than later everyone is going to remember exactly why they were the most revered and most feared group in all of professional wrestling. Kent turns to Rex, who is still a little banged up, and he reiterates that his Uncle unleashed that "Psychotic lunatic" Chris Patricks on his own flesh and blood. If there was any doubt in Rex's mind before then it should be eradicated now because Max wanted him wiped out. Kent says this is family right here and they put their bodies on the line for each other, they sacrifice for each other and they go to war for each other.

*A focused Engel Harlequin takes over the screen. We see Miss Jessica filing her nails in the background and Engel keeps looking back at her, whether through adoration or the belief she is a figment of his imagination. Engel says he will not compete here tonight. He has been incentivised by Alex Walker's "prizes" before and he knows better than anyone that they very rarely play out the way anyone expects them to. Engel says his sole focus is on Liam Wood and their impending match at "Day of Reckoning". Engel is still finding it amusing that Wood believes he can make him utter the words "I Quit" when he quite literally doesn't have a breaking point. Harlequin believes that part of the "Cortex" was severed at some point in his life, maybe even before birth, and that is why the "Cherry Falls Asylum" could not keep him caged. Harlequin says "Do your worst, Liam....make me bleed, break my bones, none of it matters hehehehe.....this is one game you cannot win". Engel mimes zipping up his mouth whilst he rocks back and forth in silent laughter.

*Jerome Dubois is interviewed by Clarissa and he is still outraged after what went down last week. Dubois says he never tapped out and he never said he quit but the uncultured swine of a referee couldn't speak French so he just jumped to conclusions. Dubois says this is just the latest in a long line of injustices from this company and he still believes JJ Johnson is to blame for that. Dubois tells us that tonight he will send a message and it will be the first of many that lead him to a monumental moment at Night of Glory. Dubois says he is going to be part of something that will get all of the fans out of the seats and have everyone around the world talking.....Dubois continues to rant as we see someone, hooded, standing just out of distance watching his ramble.

*We see New York's own Robin Reborn (the crowd still mostly boo) arriving at Arthur Ashe with his entourage and Ojore. The commentators talk about how Reborn once again refrained from competing here tonight (his contractual right) but he is shooting a new show here in NYC so he's come along to lend some support to Ojore. RJ is expecting that Reborn and Anthony Grace will no doubt cross paths at some point this evening ahead of their final battle at Day of Reckoning. The image then changes and the crowd cheer as they see Anthony Grace standing by with Timothy Allen. Grace says tonight has certainly been designed to provide a preview of things to come at "Day of Reckoning" so naturally this evening will end with his arm raised in victory (a lot of fans cheer this). Grace says he has absolutely no doubt that Robin Reborn & Ojore will have some plan to attack him here tonight and heck it may even work but at "Day of Reckoning, inside that steel cage....there'll just be me and you, Robin.....and that's when you will finally pay for all of the disgusting words that have come from your mouth.....you will pay for all of the dastardly things you have done......you will drop to your knees, repent and you will put your hands together and beg for forgiveness whilst everyone in Las Vegas says (the crowd yell "GRACE"). Anthony Grace smiles as the scene ends.

*Alex Walker is heading for his office when Jack Reynolds tries to get a word with him in regards to tonight. What is the massive opportunity that the roster are competing for? And what is the huge announcement? Alex Walker smiles at Reynolds and says all will be revealed in good time but that time is not now. Walker excuses himself and enters his office. Exodus are already there and there is still a remaining tension as a surly Clarke James leans back in Walker's chair whilst James and Jenny McManus sit on the sofa and The Fanatic stands in the corner. Walker says he understands there is a few "teething issues" but tonight is the night when Exodus begin to flex their collective muscle (he winks at Jenny McManus and she smiles). Walker looks at Clarke James and says "You have delivered on your end of the bargain, Clarke, and tonight will be the start of my deliverance. The vision we saw together from day one is so close to becoming a reality". James leans back in the chair again and nods his head, no trace of emotion. Walker smiles and then says "what is this rubbish?"....he picks up a JJ Johnson bear with a Welsh flag tied around its neck. The bear is wearing a pair of aviators. Walker tosses it in the bin as the scene ends.

6CWF Presents Proving Grounds Results - 19th Feb 2024 (Episode 26) Empty Re: 6CWF Presents Proving Grounds Results - 19th Feb 2024 (Episode 26)

Post by JJJohnson Mon 19 Feb 2024, 12:29 pm

Bout 1
Over the top Battle Royal (Winner proceeds to main event)
Anthony Grace vs Engel Harlequin vs Jerome Dubois vs Liam Wood vs Mike Hill vs Ojore

*Arthur Ashe is alive with noise as we prepare for our first bout of the evening. The commentators are already talking about Engel Harlequin’s deliberate “pull out” of this bout and how he seems to be prioritising his upcoming war with Liam Wood over being successful in the “Gateway to Glory”. Anthony Grace is the first competitor to enter and receives a huge ovation from the audience. JT is talking up Grace and how he is in a completely different zone to the man we saw in 2023, could he win the Gateway to Glory match?

*Jerome Dubois is next out and we have a discussion about his controversial defeat to Liam Wood last week and how it seems to have sparked yet more outrage and violence from the GWA Champion. Dubois is clearly in an angry state as he paces to ringside and climbs inside. Mike Hill is the next entrant and he has his ribs strapped after last week’s mauling from Ojore. RJ says it is hard seeing Hill struggling after such a successful beginning to life in 6CWF. JT believes Hill may have made a mistake in relinquishing his European Championship because he was on a real roll at that point. Hill winces slightly as he hops over the top rope and glares at Jerome Dubois. Ojore then arrives and it is boos from the majority of the crowd for the “Man of War”. Ojore pounds his way ringside as we get a shot of New York’s own Robin Reborn sitting at ringside to watch “his boy”. Grace shoots a look at Reborn as we get some hype on their match at “Day of Reckoning”.

*Monumental ovation for Liam Wood now. He has a stern expression on his face as he makes his way to ringside. The commentators believe he was probably hoping to get his hands on Engel tonight. JT wonders why Wood isn’t resting but RJ says it isn’t in his nature. Wood believes there is something big at stake here tonight and if that helps his chances of winning the “Gateway to Glory” then he isn’t going to back down.

*The bell sounds and there is a lot of posturing from all five men before Ojore lets out a roar and he charges forward to squash Grace in the corner but AG throws himself aside and Ojore goes through the ropes and clatters the ringpost before collapsing to the outside. Grace brawls with Dubois as a red balloon floats from the crowd into the rafters. Wood watches the balloon and Mike Hill rushes across and tries to dump him over the ropes but Wood clings on.

*Wood drives vicious elbows into Hill’s neck and then looks for a huge lariat but Hill ducks and nails a pele kick to sit Wood down. Dubois tries to suplex Grace over the top but the film star lands on the apron and grabs Dubois’ head before snapping the back of his neck down on the top rope. Grace clambers back into the ring and drops an elbow on Dubois’ chest before standing up and raising his arms to the crowd (a real LA Knight vibe to what Grace is doing right now). Mike Hill is on the top rope and readying for a 450 splash (Mike Time) but he lands across the knees of Liam Wood which further injures his midsection. Ojore returns now and he has a trash can in hand which he drives across the top of Grace’s head. Did someone order the return of the Xtreme?

*Ojore drops the can on the floor now and he welcomes Mike Hill up before scooping him in his arms. He wants to slam Hill down but the former world champion counters out into a tornado DDT which crunches Ojore’s skull into the can. Hill runs the ropes now and he lands a lionsault on Ojore but he is only hurting his midsection further. Hill staggers up as Dubois crashes through him with the “French Connection” (spear). The crowd boo as Dubois drags Hill up and throws him over the top rope for the first elimination of the contest.

*Dubois performs a little jig and shouts “Vive Le France” before he turns around and eats a massive right hand from Liam Wood. Wood whips Dubois across the ring and lowers his head for a backdrop but Dubois boots him in the head. He runs at Wood but is chokeslammed into a backbreaker, sending him rolling under the bottom rope. Ojore is back up now and he runs through Wood with a battering ram headbutt to the chest. He clubs at the back of Wood repeatedly before gutwrenching him into the air. Wood drives his elbow down into Ojore’s head and jumps off the back. The big man turns and Wood stomps on his knee, dropping him on all fours. He runs the ropes for the “Psycho Crusher” but is obliterated by a Samoan drop. Ojore drags Wood to the corner now and he wants the ”Banzai Drop”. He clambers onto the ropes as Anthony Grace smashes a steel chair across his back.

*Ojore drops on his feet and Grace jabs the chair in his stomach before lashing it across his spine. Robin Reborn is over the barricade now and he is going through the motions of bigging himself up for a fight but won’t actually clamber in the ring. Grace is willing him on but they just stand-off with one another. Dubois tries to come back in on the blindside but Grace spins and wallops him over the top of the skull with the chair, drawing huge cheers from the audience. Grace puts the chair on the mat now and he beckons Ojore up. He prepares for the “Thunderstruck” but then Reborn leaps on the apron so Grace swivels around and lands the “Blockbuster” roundhouse kick that sends Reborn flying into the ring apron. Grace turns back around and is crushed onto the chair by Ojore with a “World’s Strongest Slam”.

*Ojore pulls Grace to the corner now and he wants the “Banzai drop”. He drives down onto the chest of Grace and drives all the wind out of him. Ojore is now motioning that Grace is going out of the ring. He bends down to pick Grace up when Liam Wood runs in and stomps Ojore’s head down into the steel chair. Ojore is swayed off balance as Wood grabs the chair off the mat and bashes it over the big man’s skull, staggering him back into the ropes. Wood yells at Anthony Grace now and he stumbles up. The two men exchange a look and then they storm forward and deliver a double clothesline which sends him over the top to the outside.

*There is a long staredown between Grace and Wood now, JT telling us that these are two “favourites” for the GTG match. They exchange a few words and get ready to do battle when Jerome Dubois drags Liam Wood under the bottom rope and he shatters a kendo stick across the knee of Wood (the same one he had trouble with last week?) Wood hobbles as Dubois picks him up now and drives his knee down on top of the security railing, leaving Wood in a bad way on the arena floor.

*Grace climbs from the ring and he brawls with Dubois. Dubois looks for a whip but Grace reverses and sends the Frenchmen into the steel steps before throwing him back in the ring. Grace rolls in and he wills Dubois up before attempting the “Blockbuster”. Dubois ducks the kick at the final second and counters with the “Au Revoir”. Dubois stands and talks trash to Grace before he freezes in place. There is someone standing in the crowd with their hood up just staring at him (Think when Usyk was stalking Anthony Joshua). Dubois looks as though he has seen a ghost.

*Liam Wood hobbles back in now and he grabs Dubois by the scruff of the neck and launches him over the top rope as the crowd go wild. Wood collapses on his knee now as Dubois stands and is kicking the barriers and throwing a fit. He is now searching the crowd for the hooded figure but they seem to have disappeared. Security arrive to escort him from ringside as he continues to voice his anger. The commentators are wondering who Jerome Dubois saw standing in the crowd because it certainly had a profound effect on him.

*Anthony Grace is on his feet now and he looks as Liam Wood struggles to his feet. Grace casts a look at Wood’s knee but he sneers at Grace and beckons him on (basically showing that he wants no sympathy whatsoever). Grace shrugs his shoulders and nods as he comes forward. Wood boots out at Grace’s gut and then hammers him with right hands. He looks for a whip but Grace reverses and sends him off the ropes. Wood comes flying back and knocks him down with a jumping forearm smash. He wills Grace up and looks for the “Manson Driver” but Grace swipes his legs and catapults him to the corner. Wood lands on the turnbuckle and twists back off for a double axe handle. He lands it but staggers badly on his knee. Wood punches at his appendage and waits for Grace to get up before running in for the “Psycho Crusher” but Grace rises and catches him in a powerbomb position. They stagger to the ropes and Wood pulls him over the top with his legs as they both crash on the apron.

*They get back up now and they are trading with punches and kicks. Both men struggle and almost fall but they are clinging on for dear life. Grace throws caution to the wind and he punts Wood’s bad knee, dropping him on all fours on the apron. Grace charges forward for the “Thunderstruck” but suddenly Reborn grabs his feet and yanks him off the apron for the final elimination. Liam Wood is heading for tonight’s main event.

*Reborn is smirking at Anthony Grace as he backs up in the aisleway. Grace looks furious as he walks forward to confront him but is then blindsided by Ojore. The commentators talk about how we seem to be following a similar pattern week in and week out but Ojore will not be inside the steel cage to save Reborn at “Day of Reckoning”. Reborn is talking big again now as he ushers for one of his “crew” in the crowd to pass him his custom brass knucks. He gets Ojore to pick Grace up before levelling him with a huge punch. Reborn puts a foot on Grace’s chest now and acts as though he just slayed the giant. This is going to be personal inside the cage.

*Liam Wood rolls back into the ring now and hobbles up on both feet. The commentators wonder if he is regretting his decision to compete here tonight now that his injury has been exacerbated. Wood stands tall as we see a red, blue and yellow balloon rise from three sides of the audience now. The referee is asking Wood if he wants the ringside doctor called in but he shoves the official away and toughs it out. Engel is surely going to go straight for that knee at Day of Reckoning?

6CWF Presents Proving Grounds Results - 19th Feb 2024 (Episode 26) Empty Re: 6CWF Presents Proving Grounds Results - 19th Feb 2024 (Episode 26)

Post by JJJohnson Mon 19 Feb 2024, 1:07 pm

*Geoff Steel is live in NYC and the crowd give a huge ovation. Steel is doubling down. Despite all the attacks from Daniel Reilly, Exodus etc he is adamant that he will win the "Gateway to Glory" match and he will move on to headline at "Night of Glory". Steel says it has been a year of wars and come "Night of Glory IX" it'll be a year since 6CWF re-opened its doors. Steel says no matter what he will be leaving that event with championship gold around his waist.

*Liam Wood is in the trainer's room. The doctor is checking over his knee and Wood is wincing in pain. The doctor advises Wood take the rest of the night off but he isn't willing to heed that advice. The doctor at least wants Wood to wear a brace on his knee and he agrees. There is a knock on the door and Wood seems surprised to see Emmy there. Wood is worried Engel may use her to get at him again but Emmy silences him and says things have changed, she's changed and she wanted to be here to witness "the end" of Engel Harlequin and the beginning of Liam Wood's rise to the top once more. Wood is happy to see her and Emmy tells him "You do anything you have to, Day of Reckoning you finish this for good".

*Alex Walker is sitting in his office when the phone rings. Exodus are still there and we hear Walker say "No....this isn't (beeping) Carmen Electra's PA, wrong number....idiot". He slams the phone down and looks annoyed as Clarke James stares at the phone with his dark eyes.

*An irate Jerome Dubois is once again throwing a fit in the backstage area. He has shoved over two agents and is arguing with referees as Jack Reynolds arrives to get a word with him. Dubois says he knows what he saw and he isn't going anywhere until this is sorted out. Dubois grabs the camera now and he says "I know you are here so let's forgo all the little games....I'll see you very soon, Le Venimeux"

*Robin Reborn is acting like he is on the red carpet at the Oscars after another blindside of Anthony Grace. Reborn says "Day of Reckoning will be the curtain call on Anthony Grace's career". Grace comes into shot now to confront Reborn. They stand-off and then Ojore charges in from the side but Grace is ready this time and sidesteps as Ojore ends up crashing through the catering table. The smirk has disappeared from Reborn's face now as Grace tells him his days are well and truly numbered.

6CWF Presents Proving Grounds Results - 19th Feb 2024 (Episode 26) Empty Re: 6CWF Presents Proving Grounds Results - 19th Feb 2024 (Episode 26)

Post by JJJohnson Mon 19 Feb 2024, 1:09 pm

Bout 2
Over the top Battle Royal (Winner proceeds to main event)
Clarke James vs Daniel Reilly vs Fanatic vs Geoff Steel vs James McManus

*We are all set for our second battle royal and Geoff Steel comes out first to a gigantic ovation from the NYC crowd. Steel touches the remnants of the wound suffered by Clarke James’ “railroad” spike a few weeks ago in Tokyo. The commentators talk about Steel’s “issues” with all tonight’s combatants after PK laid him out last week and being at loggerheads with Daniel Reilly since last year. Steel looks in tremendous shape as he clambers up the ring and prepares himself for battle. JT says “I’m going out on a limb but here is your 2024 Gateway to Glory winner”.

*We await the next arrival when the scene changes to backstage where all the members of Exodus are beating down on Daniel Reilly. Fanatic drags Reilly up and smashes his head into a steel shutter. He drops down as McManus runs in and drives his knee into the side of Reilly’s skull, crushing him into the shutter once more. Clarke James walks into the scene now and he glares down at Reilly with real hatred. James produces the spike now and it seems Daniel Reilly is in for some serious trouble but then a bloodied Oliver Keane is dragged into shot by hooded members of “The Fallen”. Keane’s hand is pressed against the wall now as it appears, from the scream, that James has pierced the palm of his hand with the spike. Keane is whimpering on the floor whilst Reilly is left slumped against the shutter. Exodus are heading for ringside.

*RJ thinks Geoff Steel may be in big trouble now. Oliver Keane has been savaged backstage and Alex Walker isn’t going to do a damn thing about it. McManus and Fanatic are the first out and they storm the ring as Geoff Steel takes the fight to them. He fairs well for a spell and is pummelling McManus in the corner until Fanatic crashes into him from behind. Steel battles the big man now and almost gets him up on his shoulders before McManus takes him out with a chopblock. They stomp all over Steel now before they haul him back up. Fanatic delivers a double-handed chokebomb as Clarke James begins to saunter to the ring.

*James McManus waits for his partner to drag Steel up and then lifts him onto his shoulders and delivers a death valley driver in the middle of the ring. Clarke James rolls in and he crouches over Geoff Steel now with the “railroad” spike in hand. He lifts the spike up over his head as though he is about to drive it down into Steel’s skull. Static begins to sound from the speakers and then all the lights go out. A light show of brilliant white begins to fill the stage as the crowd get excited before a message appears on the big screen.

“DIES RATIONIS VENIT”

*JT kindly translates “The Day of Reckoning is coming”. Clarke James has stood now and seems to be waiting for someone to arrive and confront him but there is nothing forthcoming. He turns back around and orders PK to get Geoff Steel up so that he can send a further message. McManus hooks Steel and drags him up but suddenly Steel roars to life and launches his foe over the ropes to the outside of the ring. Fanatic storms forward but Steel pulls the top down and sends the big man tumbling to the outside. The crowd now roar as Daniel Reilly, fury in his eyes, begins to walk down the ramp. It seems Clarke James may be stuck between a rock and a hard place here now.

*CJ’s dark eyes glint with malevolence before he chooses to climb from the ring rather than engage. Reilly slides in now and he has bloodlust on the mind. PK want to get back in and fight but the commentators believe James may have been spooked by the message on the screen. James signals to PK that they are leaving. Clearly he doesn’t want Alex Walker’s “massive opportunity” at the end of tonight.

*Reilly and Steel watch Exodus as they retreat as boos fill the air. Nobody can quite believe that they are leaving. James stops on the ramp now, flanked by his allies, as it seems they are going to watch the action. Reilly turns to face Geoff Steel now and they go nose to nose underneath the “Night of Glory” sign. There is plenty of bad blood between these two. Steel shoves Reilly in the chest and then the Euro Champ responds with a slap to the mouth. Suddenly they erupt with punches and Steel rocks his opponent back. Steel looks for an Irish whip but Reilly twists inside and counters with an inverted headlock backbreaker (ala Randy Orton). RJ reminds us that these two have already taken quite a beating from Exodus.

*Reilly drags Steel up and flips him for a fallout neckbreaker but Steel scrambles off the back. He kicks Reilly in the gut and sets for the “Bladecutter” but Reilly swipes his legs and attempts to apply the anklelock. Steel throws himself forward and Reilly is sent crashing into the turnbuckle. Steel is up and nails a huge release full nelson slam, drawing cheers from the audience. Steel is heading for the ropes now and he stares out at Exodus before he launches himself into a fantastic flying headbutt to the heart of Daniel Reilly.

*Steel grabs Reilly and looks to launch him over the top but Reilly clings to the ropes for dear life. Steel slams punches into the kidneys and ribs as he tries to push Reilly over but then DR responds with an eye poke. Steel staggers away and Reilly looks to pounce with an RKO but Steel pushes him into the ropes. Steel chases in but is backdropped over the top onto the apron. Reilly turns and eats a shoulder thrust through the middle rope. McManus and Fanatic take a step forward as Steel glances over his shoulder at them. The momentary distraction allows Reilly to leap in now and “RKO”s Steel’s throat against the top rope and sends him crashing to the outside. Daniel Reilly is our second combatant in the main event.

*Steel tries to get up now as PK attack him once more. Fanatic scoops him up on his shoulders as McManus runs over and leaps into the “Boot of Doom” which sends Steel over the barricade into the front row of the crowd. McManus then rolls in the ring and grabs Daniel Reilly but eats an “RKO” out of nowhere. Fanatic clambers in now and looks for a bicycle kick but Reilly dodges that and we have a second RKO as cheers ring out from all around “Arthur Ashe”. Reilly gets back to his feet and is drilled by “Faithless” from Clarke James.

*Here comes Alex Walker and Jenny McManus (they seem close?!?). Walker is gleeful as he gets on the mic. He says yes Daniel Reilly has advanced to tonight’s main event and yes Daniel Reilly is #30 for the Gateway to Glory but right here is where the fun stops. Oliver Keane, his right hand man (pardon the pun), has been taken to the hospital and Reilly is now all alone in the world once more. Walker says he should have squashed Reilly like the vermin he is over a decade ago but he’ll settle for Day of Reckoning. Walker says Reilly, or what is left of him, is unlikely to even make it to the “Gateway to Glory” because first of all he will defend his European Championship in a 3 on 1 handicap match against Exodus. Boos all around as Exodus stand tall now over Daniel Reilly whilst Walker and Jenny McManus watch on from the stage.

6CWF Presents Proving Grounds Results - 19th Feb 2024 (Episode 26) Empty Re: 6CWF Presents Proving Grounds Results - 19th Feb 2024 (Episode 26)

Post by JJJohnson Mon 19 Feb 2024, 1:20 pm

*Chris Patricks is here in NYC. We see him throwing his kitbag down in the locker-room when Max Adamson walks in. There is a little tension between them as Max doesn't want to see Rex's career ended and knows that could have easily happened with what went down last week but Patricks stops Max in mid flow. He and Max have been to war together and as opposition but they are "family" which is exactly why he came back. Because Max asked him to. And now all of a sudden he's got cold feet? CP tells Max it's either "all in or nothing at all". He says Genesis and Rex will not hesitate to put him in the ground so Max needs to regain that "killer instinct" and quick. CP needs to see the Max Adamson who made GazzyD his slave, who ran down Cassius Zhi, who stole Uryu's girl and made him watch....because if he doesn't then "Day of Reckoning" will be the last time if ever laces them up.

*Backstage in one of the conference rooms we seem that the machine has been set up so that the 6CWF talent can draw their numbers for the "Gateway to Glory". A banged up Geoff Steel is the first man into the room to select his and he takes a number from the machine. He then turns around and finds his way blocked by Blue Dragon. The two former enemies stare at one another as Dragon then looks at the plastic ball in Steel's hand.

*GazzyD & Edward Plague are talking. Plague is letting Gazzy know that he will "temper the threat of The Dragon" as long as Gazzy concentrates on "dousing any flames of belief from the Hollow Hero". Plague explains that they "must protect the jewel in the crown, at all costs" as he pats the 6CW Championship belt which is once again in his lap. Plague then presents one of the plastic "Gateway to Glory" balls to Gazzy. Gazzy seems confused as he is already a world champion and doesn't need to compete but Plague says "This book has many more chapters, total domination being one of them".

6CWF Presents Proving Grounds Results - 19th Feb 2024 (Episode 26) Empty Re: 6CWF Presents Proving Grounds Results - 19th Feb 2024 (Episode 26)

Post by JJJohnson Mon 19 Feb 2024, 1:41 pm

*Jerome Dubois is back out at ringside now and he is telling everyone that he will not leave until he gets exactly what he wants. He paces back and forth as security appear on the stage and look as though they are going to eject him from ringside. The NYC crowd is suddenly on their feet up to the rafters as two giant snake heads appear from underneath the stage and rise on either side of the entranceway. They begin to breathe fire as "King of the Stereo" by Saliva rips through the airwaves.

Jerome Dubois' eyes are wide with shock/fear as the giant form of his biggest rival appears on the stage. A huge "Holy (beep)" chant is ringing from every single side of Arthur Ashe and there are fans bouncing up and down as we see Cobra properly for the first time. The 6CW legend and former TAW Heavyweight Champion looks in the shape of his life as he begins to make his way down to ringside. The commentators remind us of Cobra's deep history with Dubois and everything he ever achieved in both 6CW and 6WF. JT says "This must have been who Dubois saw earlier in the crowd.....COBRA IS BACK".

Cobra is just climbing through the ropes when Dubois rips the GWA World Championship from around his waist and he looks to nail his rival in the head but Cobra ducks the shot and then executes the "Viper Strike" buzzsaw kick to the temple. Dubois stumbles around and Cobra grabs hold of him. The audience are ecstatic as Cobra drills Dubois into the canvass with the "Snakebite" (Spinning Impailer). Cobra stands tall over the fallen form of Dubois and drinks in the atmosphere. Is he back full time? Will Cobra be in the Gateway to Glory?

*Blue Dragon enters Alex Walker’s office. Clarke James (now sat on the sofa) doesn't rise but Fanatic and James McManus do. Dragon merely smirks at them and then advises them to "stand down" and says "I have backup too, you know, and you really wouldn't want that". Dragon turns away from them and tells Walker that he is just here to ensure everything is prepared for tonight. Walker wants to clarify Dragon's decision but BD says he already told him what he wants so now it's on Walker to make it happen. He tells Walker "Don't try to screw me....because you really won't like what happens next". Dragon leaves as Walker turns to Exodus and smiles. He says "Believe it or not....one hell of a door just opened up here".

*Scene change and it is absolute bedlam and chaos in the conference room where the "Gateway to Glory" draw is taking place. It seems Genesis stormed the room whilst Max, Dicey, Harris and Patricks were picking their numbers and now all eight men are brawling as security are trying their absolute best to break it up. Punches and kicks are being thrown and there us furniture flying through the air as we see Genesis being pushed back toward the doorway and security trying to drive a wall between the warring factions. Dicey is standing on a table now and yells "LET'S BE (BEEPING) HAVING YA THEN" whilst Patricks turns to Max and we hear him say "Kill or be killed....there's no other option here, Max".

*Up on the rooftops and Uryu is rolling a "Gateway to Glory" ball in the palm of his hand. Clarissa joins him for a quick word ahead of his match. Uryu says tonight isn't about competing for Alex Walker's "prize" but an opportunity to get his hands on three different men who have, one way or another, gotten involved in his business. Ishida says, primarily, he wants to get even with GazzyD....he wants another shot at the world title and he wants to be champion again.....but he also knows that whilst Edward Plague is around, that will never be a fair fight....so if he can take him out too, then he will.

As for Blue Dragon....he's the wildcard, the unknown.....he has no personal or emotional attachment to this fight, which probably gives him an advantage....but Uryu urges BD not to underestimate him or what he will do in order to be champion once again...

Clarissa asks about the Gateway to Glory and Uryu says he's entering if he has to but in reality he wants another straight shot at GazzyD, the entrance ball is just an insurance policy incase Gazzy & Plague try to run or Blue Dragon cuts him out of the picture...

Clarissa then asks if Uryu has heard from Christy but he just shakes his head....Clarissa leaves now as Uryu opens the plastic container and looks at the number inside. He smiles and says "I wouldn't have it any other way"

6CWF Presents Proving Grounds Results - 19th Feb 2024 (Episode 26) Empty Re: 6CWF Presents Proving Grounds Results - 19th Feb 2024 (Episode 26)

Post by JJJohnson Mon 19 Feb 2024, 1:43 pm

Bout 3
Over the top Battle Royal (Winner proceeds to main event)
Blue Dragon vs Edward Plague vs GazzyD vs Uryu Ishida

*JT is talking about how Plague is still “calling all the shots” despite Gazzy being the world champion as we return to ringside. RJ is anticipating a “monstrous battle” in this one and after what we saw in last week’s main event he doesn’t see how control can be exerted here. Uryu makes his entrance first and the crowd are on their feet for his arrival. Ishida has definitely tapped into something “primal” in recent weeks.

*Gazzy and Plague arrive now and Plague has the 6CW Championship in his hands. Gazzy makes his way into the aisleway as Uryu leaps onto the ropes and twists into a moonsault takedown on the world champion. Plague seems ready to attack but then he remembers his plan as Blue Dragon’s music hits the airwaves.

*Gazzy is staggering around at ringside as Uryu uses the ring steps to run up and he leaps into a headscissors which sends the world champion flying across the announce tables and into a heap. Blue Dragon looks almost amused as he storms down the ramp and begins to engage in a brawl with Edward Plague in the aisleway. Dragon drives a vicious knee into Plague’s midsection and then lands a release exploder suplex which sends him crashing back onto the steel ramp.

*Uryu heads over to drag Gazzy up but is clocked in the face by the ring bell. The 6CW Champion heads for the ring now and he drags a ladder from underneath the ring apron. Uryu stumbles to his feet and Gazzy runs the ladder into his face. Gazzy places the ladder against the ringside barrier and then he waits for Ishida to rise before he hiptosses him across it. Uryu is writhing in pain and clutching his spine.

*Blue Dragon has pummelled Plague up on the stage but then Plague lands a hard low blow. He smirks as he drags BD over to the 6CWF announce desk and lands a brutal release uranage slam (ala Bray Wyatt) on top of the table. The table doesn’t break but Dragon slumps off to the floor in agony. Plague is talking about “Keeping the wolf at bay” as he circles Dragon.

*Back at ringside and Gazzy has dragged out two tables now as the commentators talk about him taking Plague’s words on board about ending Uryu for good. He puts the tables in the ring now before grabbing a steel chair and he launches it (ECW style) against Uryu’s skull to keep him down at ringside. The world champion rolls in the ring now and he sets up the tables side by side. Gazzy then returns to the outside and grabs the ladder. He is back in the ring and pulling the ladder through the ropes when Uryu leaps onto the others side and catapults the top into Gazzy’s face, sending him rolling across the canvass in agony.

*Up on the stage and Edward Plague appears set to powerbomb Blue Dragon through the 6CWF announce table but is countered into a backdrop. Dragon pulls Plague up and runs him into the entranceway structure before he pulls out one of the monitors from the 6CWF desk and smashes it into Plague’s skull, leaving him in a heap on the floor. Dragon glares down at Plague now and is clearly weighing up his next move. He grabs him by the head and drags him toward the edge of the stage as Plague responds with a huge uppercut to the body. He rises now and prepares to lift Dragon with the “Purifier” (Omega Driver) but BD drives vicious elbows into the side of Plague’s head. He then grabs Plague by the neck and just launches him off the side of the stage (only a five foot drop with this stage) as Plague lands hard on top of a table full of production equipment. BD looks down and then he walks to the top of the ramp. He watches the action between Uryu and Gazzy before dusting his hands off as though he is done with tonight’s match. He then walks backstage as the commentators talk with surprise. It seems as though Dragon is saving his energy for the “announcement”.

*In the ring and Uryu springboards in with the steel chair in hand and lashes it across the head of Gazzy, sending the world champion sprawling backward across the two tables set up. Uryu works the crowd now as he sets up the ladder and ascends to the top. He looks down on Gazzy and then delights the audience as he flips off the top into the “Split Second” which smashes himself and Gazzy through the two tables. A massive “Holy Sh1t” chant is ringing all around. Uryu grimaces through the pain as he drags Gazzy up and throws him over the top rope. A modicum of payback.

*Edward Plague is up and staggering down the side of the stage toward ringside. He rolls in and looks to blindside Uryu but he ducks the attack and lands a superkick to the back of Plague’s head and sends him over the top. Plague clings on as Uryu grabs the steel chair. He runs to the corner and springs off the turnbuckle before twisting through the air and smashing the weapon over Plague’s head, sending him down to the outside. The referee is calling for the bell and it looks like Uryu is heading on to the main event.

*Uryu staggers back into the ropes, back to the aisle, and he stares at Edward Plague. Plague is crouched over Gazzy (who is hunched up holding his ribs) and then quickly he makes his way over to grab hold of the 6CW belt. Plague walks back to Gazzy and holds the belt up high as Uryu points at him. JT says “Uryu wants the 6CW Championship back but who exactly is the champion?”.

6CWF Presents Proving Grounds Results - 19th Feb 2024 (Episode 26) Empty Re: 6CWF Presents Proving Grounds Results - 19th Feb 2024 (Episode 26)

Post by JJJohnson Mon 19 Feb 2024, 2:09 pm

*Jenny McManus asks her husband to go and get her a drink whilst she remains sitting at Alex Walker's side, laughing at his every comment. James leaves the room and is heading down the corridor when he is attacked by an irate Daniel Reilly. Reilly drags McManus around and smashes his head into a nearby door, leaving him slumped in a heap on the floor. Fanatic, Jenny and Walker burst out of the office now after hearing the commotion. Reilly glares at them and says "I told you that coming for me would be the end for all of you". Then stomps McManus' head right through the wooden door, leaving him out. Reilly backs away, never taking his eyes off of Alex Walker, as Jenny rushes over and crouches at her husband's side.

*It is fever pitch as Timothy Allen is joined by Cobra in the backstage area. The crowd can be heard at full volume and it is a struggle to hear what Cobra is saying. The former world champion is back where it all began for him and he has designs on doing something he never achieved in his career, despite all he has done, and that is headlining Night of Glory and becoming 6CW World Champion. Cobra is officially entering the "Gateway to Glory" match and says he is looking forward to kicking Dubois' head off his shoulders again and again.

*There is some tension in the ranks as Dicey Reilly, Scott Harris and Chris Patricks are talking about tonight's match. Dicey is once again making it clear that they are all in this to end Genesis but that's as far as the love-in goes because each and every one of them wants that "Gateway to Glory" win and each and every one of them wants to headline "Night of Glory". Harris quips "Good to know where your priorities are" but Dicey pulls him back on that. He says Harris can play games with Genesis his whole career if he likes but that's why he has never been a world champ and probably never will be. Dicey says he knows how to end Genesis (he's done it before) and he knows how to win the big one so maybe Harris should watch closely because he may learn a thing or two. Patricks just sits there and says "And you said I was a c0ck Laugh". Patricks agrees this is a "Get in and get the hell out mission". They work together in WarGames and then they go their separate ways because there is way too much ego in all of this . Max walks in now and says he just got word from Alex Walker that the winner of this upcoming battle royal gets the advantage for their team in War Games. Dicey turns to Harris again and says "Like I said, watch and learn".

*Eddy Kent is standing with Jack Reynolds now. Kent says tonight is a chance for Genesis to send a message, not only to their opponents in WarGames but the entire 6CWF roster. Genesis used to run this whole place and it is about time everyone remembered that. Kent holds up the 6WF Championship now and he dismissed Reynold's question about the prospect of Blue Dragon challenging him. Kent says Dragon felt the wrath of the original Genesis in 2011 and he'd be a fool to pick a fight with them again, especially a Genesis under his reign. Kent also dismisses the prospect of the "Gateway to Glory" winner challenging him at Night of Glory. Kent says that this isn't the old days....this isn't Genesis under Lex Hart or even Alex Walker....this version of Genesis doesn't have usurpers or turncoats like Jackson Black...they are the elite, they are the most decisive and deadly machine in professional wrestling today and there is nobody that can stand up to them or take what is theirs...

Reynolds then asks about tonight and the fact Genesis are facing a 2 on 4 disadvantage but Kent dismisses that immediately...."You have The Father and The Son of Genesis against four men who can't even agree who walks out first.....I see no disadvantage here". Kent says what happens tonight and, more importantly, what happens inside of WarGames will bring Genesis closer than ever before and they will rule this entire kingdom for years to come.

*Blue Dragon is sitting on a chair in the Gorilla position as Uryu hobbles through the curtain. Dragon is smiling as Uryu doesn't look in the mood. Alex Walker then walks into shot and Uryu's eyes narrow in suspicion before Edward Plague, carrying the 6CW Championship, and GazzyD come through the curtain now to complete the lineup.

Plague is glaring at Dragon now and holds the championship belt tighter. Alex Walker, however, is here to make an announcement in regards to what we just saw out there at ringside. Tables....ladders....chairs....oh my......Walker looks at Blue Dragon, who merely lolls backward, and then says "It's official......GazzyD......Uryu Ishida......6CW Championship......Day of Reckoning, Night One.....TLC MATCH". The crowd pop as Gazzy and Uryu glare at one another. Plague, however, continues to stare at Blue Dragon. Dragon smirks as Walker heads away now.

6CWF Presents Proving Grounds Results - 19th Feb 2024 (Episode 26) Empty Re: 6CWF Presents Proving Grounds Results - 19th Feb 2024 (Episode 26)

Post by JJJohnson Mon 19 Feb 2024, 2:10 pm

Bout 4
Over the top Battle Royal (Winner proceeds to main event)
Chris Patricks vs Dicey Reilly vs Eddy Kent vs Max Adamson vs Rex Adamson vs Scott Harris

*And here we go with our fourth and final battle royal of the evening. The commentators are hyping “WarGames” as well as the brawl from earlier and tensions between Harris, Dicey, Patricks etc with the Gateway to Glory on the horizon. Can anyone possibly concentrate and win battles on both fronts?

*Harris is first out to a huge ovation and is soon followed by Dicey Reilly (who is also cheered to the rafters). Chris Patricks enters now and we get a recap on the end of last week’s show and then subsequent attack on Rex Adamson. Max then arrives and the commentators talk about the chat earlier with CP. Is Max regretting Patricks’ return? Is he still protective of his nephew despite the betrayal?

*Rex strides out on the stage now and he is ready for war. He bobs from one foot to the other before Eddy Kent strides out to join him. The Genesis members make their way to ringside now before stopping at the foot of the ring. Kent wants to go over a few last minute tactics with Rex before they tackle the 4 on 2 odds ahead of them.

*Rex nods his head at Kent and then ushers his lead backward before he leaps onto the apron. Patricks quickly storms forward as Rex jumps back down and he grabs CP’s foot and drags him under the bottom rope as Eddy Kent explodes forward now with a “Genesis Kick” which lays Patricks out on the arena floor. The commentators, grudgingly, pay respect to the initiative of Genesis here.

*Rex circles the ring before he leaps onto the apron by the announce area. Max wants everyone to stand back (not falling for another trap) which allows Rex to climb through the ropes. Dicey then storms forward and begins to trade with Rex but Rex takes the back quickly of Dicey and then shoves him forward so that he collides with Scott Harris. Harris shoves Dicey now and they eyeball one another. Eddy Kent picks this moment to climb in the ring and clocks Max in the back of the skull with the 6WF Championship.

*Dicey implores Harris to think as they turn away from one another and begin to fight with Kent and Rex (Max & Paddy currently out of the picture). Kent rakes at the eyes of Dicey and then looks to run him to the ropes but Dicey switches his feet up and launches Kent over the top. The 6WF Champ lands on the apron. Dicey is trying to prise his fingers off the ropes as Rex runs over and lands a hard boot to Dicey’s ribs. Harris waistlocks Rex now and wants a German suplex but Rex drops to a knee and slings Harris over his shoulder. Kent grabs Dicey’s head now and guillotines him across the top rope before clambering back in the ring. Dicey staggers up and Kent drags him in close for the “Mic Check” but Dicey elbows his way free. Dicey lands a boot to the gut now and sets for the “Craicdown” but Kent swipes his feet and then catapults Dicey into the air. Rex catches Dicey in mid-air and spins him into a devastating spinebuster as RJ remarks on his incredible power.

*Harris drops Kent with a running forearm smash now before he turns and begins to trade off with Rex. The crowd are on their feet as the two stallions go toe to toe. Rex goes to the gut now with a knee and then tries to scoop Harris for an F-5 but Harris drops off the back and snaps off a hat-trick of German suplexes. Harris goes to the corner now and he lands the frogsplash from on high. RJ wants to talk about Harris and his potential in the “Gateway to Glory”. Harris is stalking Rex now and looks for the “Shot in the Dark” but Rex jumps out back. He runs the ropes for the “Gore” but Harris shows amazing reflexes to counter into a codebreaker in mid-run. Eddy Kent looks to blindside Harris but he sidesteps him and then lands a t-bone suplex which sends Kent landing on top of Rex.

*Harris is all fired up but here comes Tyler Roth. Roth leaps on the apron as Harris rushes over toward him but then Roth drops back down and smirks. Roth is taunting Harris but has no idea that Patricks and Max are up on the outside. He turns to see CP and raises his arms “What are you gonna do?” before Max charges in from the side with a huge “Gore”. Patricks signals something and “Arthur Ashe” is on their feet as he clambers onto Max’s shoulders before landing a “Puzzle Solver” on top of Roth in the aisleway.

*Dicey staggers up now and grabs Rex by the scruff of the neck. He readies to dump him over the ropes as Harris runs at Eddy Kent but the 6WF Champ moves at the last minute and Harris collides with Dicey and sends him over the top rope to the outside. There is major shock all around as Dicey gets to his feet and looks up at Harris in disbelief. Harris looks apologetic but then has to turn and avoid Kent’s “Genesis Kick”. He swipes his legs now and turns him over into the sharpshooter but Rex grabs him by the scruff of the neck and hauls him over the top to join Dicey by the announce area.

*The argument ensues between Dicey and Harris now. Harris thinks Dicey could have given him the heads up on Rex behind him whilst Dicey is angry at being knocked over the top by Harris. Eddy Kent is smirking from inside the ring and gesturing to Rex. The crowd then go wild as Max and Chris Patricks clamber in the ring from the other side. Rex and Kent turn to face them now and there is a intense staredown. Dicey and Harris’s bickering continues as they leave ringside.

*Rex is glaring at Max and he is returning the gaze but neither is making the move. Patricks now shoves past Max and leaps into a punch on Rex before they begin brawling. Rex ducks a shot and grabs Patricks by the waist and tries to lift him over the ropes but CP rams a big elbow back into Rex’s mouth. Kent comes forward but Max charges into him and runs him back into the corner before exploding with shuddering shoulder thrusts. Patricks springs off the ropes now and plants Rex with a tornado DDT before he points to the top rope. The crowd are on their feet but Patricks rolls from the ring first and grabs a steel chair. He plants it on Rex’s chest and then heads to the ropes. He's looking for the “Puzzle Solver”. Max is stomping Kent in the corner and then he turns to see CP’s intentions. Patricks is stunned as Max rushes over and kicks the steel chair away. CP holds his arms wide but Max seems to be indicating he’s happing for Patricks to hit the frogsplash on Rex but no weapons. Patricks lands the “Puzzle Solver” now before he stands up and exchanges some words with Max. Patricks says “You need to be a killer” before he heads to the ropes and picks the chair up. He is waiting for Rex to rise but it is clear Max is torn. Max tries to grab the chair now and a tussle ensues until Eddy Kent spins Patricks around and lands a “Mic Check”.

*Max is stunned but has little time to process before Rex grabs the chair off the mat and jabs it into his stomach, leaving him in a heap. Rex waits for Patricks to rise now and the sound is like a gunshot as he crashes the weapon over the top of CP’s head. Eddy Kent is looking happy as Rex drags Patricks up now and throws him over the top rope to the outside. Genesis are absolutely flying here and it seems Max’s affinity to his nephew has cost them big.

*Kent wants to deliver a “Genesis Kick” to Max now. He urges Rex to drag his Uncle up and he obliges. Max looks like a deadweight but then shoves Rex away and ducks the brogue kick at the final second. Max scoops Kent up now for the “Cyclone” but Kent drops behind. He quickly grabs for the steel chair and looks to swing it but Max punches it into his face and leaves him on the deck. Rex runs in now but Max sidesteps and pushes him into the turnbuckle before decking him with the “FaMaxer”. The crowd are hyped as Max crouches in the corner now and has a pick of who to nail with the “Gore”.

*Michael Sweetwater is here and he is up on the ropes. He looks to leap off and attack Max but he is caught in Max’s arms. Max swings him up now into a powerbomb position and then launches him over the top rope into Tyler Roth, who is just getting back to his feet. Max seems to swell with fury and perhaps realises the mistake he made by protecting Rex. He turns and readies to run into a “Gore” on his nephew but Eddy Kent shoves Rex aside and eats the spear. Kent actually sacrificed himself for Rex?

*Max seems stunned by what has happened but quickly scoops Kent on his shoulders and carries him to the ropes before delivering an F-5 which sends the world champion crashing to the arena floor. This, however, allows Rex to storm in behind and he dumps Max over the top to win the bout and take the final spot in the main event. Team Genesis also hold the advantage now heading into War Games. But there are massive talking points coming out of this one. Harris and Dicey seem at loggerheads. Is the lure of winning the Gateway to Glory too much for the partners? Can they co exist? But also what about Max Adamson and Chris Patricks? Patricks wants to take the fight to Genesis but Max seems reluctant to “seriously harm” Rex and that is costing them. Rex, on the other hand, seems to have no issue in taking out Max or any of his allies by any means necessary. And Eddy Kent sacrificed himself for Rex? Is that the most unbelievable moment to come out of this match?

*Back live after replays and Rex is standing tall in the ring as Max looks up at him from the aisleway. Chris Patricks is standing up on the stage and we see him shake his head in Max’s direction before walking backstage. Max and Rex continue to stare at one another as the commentators hype the main event which will see Liam Wood, Daniel Reilly, Uryu Ishida and Rex Adamson square off for Alex Walker’s “massive opportunity”.

6CWF Presents Proving Grounds Results - 19th Feb 2024 (Episode 26) Empty Re: 6CWF Presents Proving Grounds Results - 19th Feb 2024 (Episode 26)

Post by JJJohnson Mon 19 Feb 2024, 2:28 pm

*Emmy is sitting alone in the cafeteria when a chair is drawn out on the opposite side of her and Miss Jessica sits down across from her. The two women stare at one another. Miss Jessica then advises Emmy to "Take Liam far, far away....because at Day of Reckoning there'll be nothing left for you to bury". Emmy stares right into Jessica's eyes as she retorts "The only one of us who will be in mourning after Day of Reckoning is you....Liam knows exactly what to do.....funny isn't it, and they said the clown didn't have a weakness". Emmy rises and leaves Miss Jessica with a concerned scowl on her face.

*Genesis are heading back to their dressing room and they enter to find Blue Dragon sitting there. Eddy Kent looks concerned and Tyler Roth looks ready to fight. Dragon stands up and smirks, holding his hands up in mock innocence. He tells Kent "I just wanted to see how the champion's live.....after all, sooner rather than later I will be world champion". Dragon laughs as he pushes between Rex and Kent before leaving. Kent's eyes are on the door and then he winces from the earlier spear. Rex puts a hand on his shoulder to make sure he is ok. Kent says "Sacrifice is part of being a family.....I know when I need you most, you'll be there for me".

*Just who is going to win the Gateway to Glory match? There is a VT now of amazing moments from previous GtG matches and then odds on the current three betting favourites for the match:

-Cobra
-Daniel Reilly
-Rex Adamson

JT is doubling down on Steel as his prediction, RJ is going left field and thinks Chris Patricks has the experience to leave Las Vegas with a world title opportunity.

*James McManus is being assessed by the doctor whilst Jenny McManus is talking with Alex Walker in the corner of the room. Fanatic is sitting on the chair next to the bed and it is clear that he wants some kind of vengeance. The scene changes and Clarke James is still sitting in Alex Walker's office. The clock chimes on the wall now and CJ stares up at it before a knock comes at the door. He rises and pulls the door open but there is nothing there except a blood-stained shirt on the floor. James bends down and picks it up, his dark eyes surveying what is in front of his face.

*Daniel Reilly is shown shouldering the European Championship as he gets ready to walk to ringside. The commentators talk about how Reilly is all alone now, Oliver Keane in the hospital to treat his wound from earlier tonight. Reilly heads out into the corridor and he finds himself face to face with Dicey Reilly. They stare at one another before Reilly adjusts the belt on his shoulder and walks away

*Uryu is preparing to walk out at the Gorilla position when he sees Blue Dragon returning. Dragon barely looks at Ishida now as he heads up the steps toward the entranceway. Ishida looks suspicious as to why Dragon is heading out to ringside. We then see Liam Wood adjusting the knee brace as Emmy kisses him on the cheek before we see Eddy Kent passing a "Gateway to Glory" ball to Rex Adamson. Kent says "The Takeover cannot be stopped.....this is your time, my son". Rex nods as Kent shoulders the 6WF Championship belt.

6CWF Presents Proving Grounds Results - 19th Feb 2024 (Episode 26) Empty Re: 6CWF Presents Proving Grounds Results - 19th Feb 2024 (Episode 26)

Post by JJJohnson Mon 19 Feb 2024, 2:29 pm

Main Event
Winner will receive a massive opportunity
Liam Wood vs Daniel Reilly vs Uryu Ishida vs Rex Adamson

*Blue Dragon makes his way out and you can sense the intensity in the air as he takes a seat next to JT & RJ at the 6CWF announce desk on the stage. Dragon, despite his battle with Plague earlier, seems in good spirits and assures the commentary team that “history will be made tonight”.

*Liam Wood is the first entrant for the main event and he has a brace fitted around his knee. He is clearly hobbling as he makes his way down the ramp and the commentators believe it may be a “huge mistake” for Wood to compete again tonight with such a huge bout on the horizon with a bloodthirsty Engel Harlequin. RJ reminds us that Wood has always had the desire to be the best and sacrificing his own physical health is nothing new to him. Daniel Reilly then enters to a mixed reaction from the audience in NYC. We get a recap on Reilly’s eventful evening that included seeing Oliver Keane brutalised by Exodus and then finding out he will defend his European Championship at “Day of Reckoning” in a handicap match. Reilly looks banged up but ready for a fight. RJ reminds us that Reilly is also the #30 entrant for the “Gateway to Glory” but wonders what will be left of him by time that match comes around. JT says without Oliver Keane in his corner Reilly “has no allies and enemies in every direction he turns”.

*The crowd give a huge reaction as Uryu Ishida arrives now. Ishida stands and there is a long staredown between himself and Blue Dragon whilst the commentators talk about Uryu vs Gazzy in a TLC match at “Day of Reckoning” for the 6CW Championship. BD merely smirks at Ishida before Uryu turns away and heads for the ring. There is then a huge reaction (mixed) as Rex Adamson strides out on the stage amidst a huge “Genesis inspired” pyro display. Rex looks pumped as he walks to the ring and we get a recap on the events of earlier tonight. JT still believes Rex is on course for the “greatest rookie year in pro wrestling” and that eventually a world title is inevitable. RJ says the “Gateway to Glory” could be the match to propel him to the top but JT isn’t sure any of the “War Games” competitors will have anything left to win “GTG”.

*The referee has words with all four competitors before the match starts. The commentators remind us that “a massive opportunity” is on the line but Alex Walker still hasn’t specified what that is. Rex, Uryu, Reilly and Wood all eye one another up as the bell sounds and the audience roar in anticipation. Rex steps forward and he wants to fight whoever steps up. Liam Wood walks to him and the audience are on their feet for this monumental showdown. They eyeball each other and Rex grins before they start to unload with huge right hands on one another in the middle of the ring. Rex’s power staggers Wood and he whips him off the ropes but Wood returns and knocks him down with a heavy back elbow. Rex staggers back to his feet as Wood drags him in for a suplex. Rex floats over the back and hooks his arms for a German suplex but Wood drops to the floor and drags Rex down with him, entangling their legs as he does so. Wood tries to get on top and apply a submission but Rex uses the power in both legs to shove Wood away…Wood swirls around into the path of Daniel Reilly, who immediately nails the “RKO”. Reilly covers but Uryu runs across with a flying dropkick which sends Reilly crashing under the bottom rope and lands hard on the concrete floor outside of the ring.

*Uryu runs the ropes and then launches over the top into a senton takedown on Reilly as the audience applaud. Ishida then climbs up on the ringside barrier before twisting off into a legdrop on the European Champion. In the ring and Rex Adamson is stalking a groggy Liam Wood. Rex ushers him up and then charges forward for the “Gore” but runs straight into a high knee to the skull. Wood clutches at his leg from the impact and the commentators once again remark on Wood’s potential injury. Wood grabs Rex by the head and he drags him into the centre of the ring before preparing for a lungblower but Rex swipes the legs of Wood and then applies a “stretch muffler”. He wraps Wood’s bad knee around his neck and shoulders which is causing untold amounts of agony. The referee is asking Wood if he wants to quit but he is refusing.

*Uryu springboards back in and he wipes Rex out with a huge forearm smash. Uryu beckons Rex up and then runs the ropes. Rex uses Uryu’s momentum to tilt-a-whirl him but Ishida counters into a sunset flip bomb (Code Red) for a two count. They get up again and Uryu leaps into a hurricanrana but Rex catches him. He shows great power to lift Uryu and then runs to the corner and throws him against the turnbuckle. Uryu slumps down into a seated position as Rex circles the ring and returns with a devastating cannonball splash. He drags Ishida away from the ropes and then heads high. Rex positions himself and then lands the incredible “Lo Down” frogsplash. Reilly returns to the ring and grabs Rex before launching him to the outside. He covers Uryu now but Ishida finds a way to just get his shoulder up off the mat.

*Reilly stomps on Uryu repeatedly now before dragging him up and throwing him to the corner. He stomps on his midsection and lands stiff chops before lifting him high. Reilly prepares for a superplex but Uryu somehow turns his body in midair and lands on Reilly’s shoulders before pulling him off into a poisonrana from on high. Reilly is on unsteady legs as he gets to his feet and Ishida superkicks him in the back of the head. Uryu covers and a three count seems close but Liam Wood drags Uryu from the ring and immediately lifts him into a flapjack and drops him backward, face-first, against the top of the ringside barrier. Wood rolls back in the ring now and he watches Reilly getting up in the corner before he charges in and lands a yakuza kick (ala Sami Zayn). Wood beckons Reilly out and sets for the “Manson Driver” but Reilly drops down and swipes the bad leg before applying an anklelock in the middle of the ring. Reilly is really cranking up the pressure and Wood is in a great deal of pain here.

*Wood is in the hold for over a minute but will not quit. Rex storms back in and he scoops Reilly onto his shoulders. He prepares for the “Fire/Thunder” Driver but Reilly slips off the back and nails an inverted headlock backbreaker (ala Orton). Reilly is in predator mode now as he stalks Rex and waits for him to rise. He attempts the “RKO” but Rex seizes him by the waist and lands a huge release German suplex. Rex lets Reilly back up and launches him with an overhead belly to belly now before he scoops him into an electric chair position and drops him out into a sickening bridged German (Croyt’s Wrath). He covers but Reilly just manages to kick out before the three can be completed.

*Rex is setting for the “Gore” again and has Reilly in his sights. He runs out but Uryu flies from the apron and splatters him with a catapult “x-factor” facebuster. Reilly runs forward but Uryu ducks him and then lifts Reilly up and nails a “Michinoku Driver” across Rex. The two men are sprawled together now as Uryu heads for the corner. Uryu gives the signal that he is going for the “Split Second” but Wood is up and swipes his legs from the apron. Wood clambers up now and he delivers a huge superplex which smashes Uryu down on top of Reilly and Rex, prompting a huge response from the audience. Wood drags Uryu up now and he lands a huge “lungblower” in the centre of the ring. Wood hobbles up and JT believes he is “closing in on Alex Walker’s prize”. Wood heads to the corner now and he launches off with an elbow to the heart of Uryu. Rex staggers up and tries to blindside Wood with a “Gore” but he sidesteps and Rex runs right through Uryu with the spear. Wood then sets Rex down with the “Manson Driver” and covers but Engel Harlequin drags Wood under the ropes to prevent him from winning.

*Engel quickly tries to drag Wood and throw him against the ringpost but Wood switches positions and smashes Harlequin’s head against the solid steel. Wood then throws the top of the steel steps away and drags the base out toward the announce area. He slams Engel’s head down on it and then he backs away. Wood looks fired up and runs forward for the “Psycho Crusher” stomp but Engel pulls his head away and Wood seems to jar his knee as he stomps down the base of the steps. Wood staggers away now as Engel smiles. He grabs the base of the steps now and follows Wood before throwing the base at his leg, which causes Wood to collapse in a heap and yell in pain. Engel has a bloodthirsty smile on his face as he drags the Spanish announce forward and lifts it so that it rests on Wood’s knee. Engel then sits on the announce table now whilst Wood writhes in pain underneath him. The commentators are concerned that Liam Wood may have put himself at the mercy of Engel just weeks away from their showdown in Las Vegas.

*In the ring and Daniel Reilly is watching Rex and Uryu struggling on the mat. He is preparing himself to land the “RKO” when all attention is drawn to the stage as Exodus make their way out. Reilly rolls from the ring now and he grabs a steel chair and heads for the aisleway as James McManus storms forward. Reilly jabs the chair into McManus’ gut but has no time to do anymore damage as Fanatic uncorks an uppercut under the chin. He lifts Reilly into a bearhug and drives him back into the ringpost as Clarke James wants Reilly dragged up. It seems Exodus are planning on the railroad spike through the hand on Reilly just like they did to Oliver Keane earlier in the night. Reilly kicks out at Clarke James’ gut, causing him to drop the spike, but then Fanatic rams the back of his head against the ringpost.

*Uryu dodges a “rainmaker” attempt from Rex and then drags him in close before nailing a standing “Spanish Fly”. He heads for the corner now and begins to climb up for the “Split Second” when GazzyD comes through the crowd. Gazzy has the 6CW Championship belt and he cracks it into the side of Ishida’s head which drops him off the ropes back into the ring. Gazzy is smirking as Rex drags Uryu into the middle of the ring and obliterates him with the “Fire/Thunder” Driver for the three count. Rex is victorious in this one and he will be receiving Alex Walker’s prize.

*Rex staggers to his feet now and he smirks as his arm is raised in victory. Alex Walker’s music then hits the airwaves and it seems the boss is coming out here to deliver some news. Blue Dragon and Walker stare at one another before Walker congratulates Rex on his win. Walker says “this really is a MASSIVE opportunity…..because only two men have ever done it before and it will take a monumental effort to win the Gateway to Glory from #1”……Walker smirks as Rex looks annoyed. It seems everyone has been fighting tooth and nail tonight just to earn the opportunity to begin the “Gateway to Glory” match. Rex Adamson must now last the entire match if he is to win. Is this because of his ties to Genesis? Has Alex Walker completely turned his back on his former creation?

6CWF Presents Proving Grounds Results - 19th Feb 2024 (Episode 26) Empty Re: 6CWF Presents Proving Grounds Results - 19th Feb 2024 (Episode 26)

*Rex continues to stare at Walker and then a steel chair lashes across his spine from Chris Patricks. Patricks holds the chair up but here comes the rest of Genesis and then here comes Max Adamson, Dicey and Scott Harris. All of a sudden we have an absolute all roster brawl taking place around ringside and in the ring as more and more 6CWF superstars pour out from the backstage area. It’s an all out brawl as the ring is full of warring superstars and JT says “Right here is your preview of The Gateway to Glory match and all the chaos we will witness at Day of Reckoning”.

*Blue Dragon rises from his seat now and this brings Alex Walker back to reality, the boss was too busy enjoying the utter carnage of the entire roster fighting at ringside. Walker says now is the time for the “huge announcement”. He says Blue Dragon came to him last week and he cashed in his “Key to the Kingdom” Championship for a world title opportunity. That gives him the right to face either the 6WF Champion or the 6CW Champion. However Blue Dragon chose something that even he, Alex Walker, cannot quite comprehend. The Key to the Kingdom provides the owner with pretty much just that….a cast iron guarantee……Uryu and Gazzy will clash in a TLC match at Day of Reckoning…….Eddy Kent, whilst not defending his title, will have to go through hell on earth inside War Games….so facing either of those champions after those matches in a one on one match is an absolute no brainer…

But Blue Dragon did not chose that…..he did not want that….

So first and foremost let it be known that Blue Dragon has chosen to challenge and compete for the 6CW WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP….

The crowd go wild now whilst GazzyD and Uryu stop brawling with one another to react to his news….we then get a shot of Eddy Kent, who has a smirk on his face, before he is punched in the mouth by Max Adamson……

Alex Walker says Blue Dragon will cash that opportunity on “Night Two of Day of Reckoning……24 hours after Gazzy defends the belt against Uryu Ishida”….

But here is the news…..because Dragon is unique and Dragon is the hunter….so not only is it an opportunity he earned but it is his absolute right to decide how it goes down…..and Blue Dragon has decided…..March 9th......Day of Reckoning…..GATEWAY TO GLORY!

The noise levels inside Arthur Ashe are huge now as comprehension dawns on the fans…..Blue Dragon has decided that the 2024 Gateway to Glory match will be for the 6CW World Championship……and that means all thirty men will have the chance to leave Las Vegas as world champion…..

Dragon is continuing to smile at the reaction and the news before we get a shot of both GazzyD and Uryu once more and they cannot quite believe what they are hearing….so 24 hours after they go to war, whoever is victorious and whoever leaves “Night One” as 6CW Champion will have to defend the belt inside the “Gateway to Glory” match……Blue Dragon has blown the playing field wide open….RJ cannot believe this, because whilst it is unique and history making….Blue Dragon has effectively shared his “Key to the Kingdom” with everyone on the roster….JT believes this is a dominance thing and Blue Dragon is hell-bent on proving he is the absolute best…..this is final boss vibes…..

But that also presents an opportunity for everyone else….the chance of a lifetime….the entire roster just got handed a potential ticket to walking into Night of Glory as a world champion….

Walker nods and offers Blue Dragon a handshake as the brawling continues at ringside. The lights in the arena seem to falter for a second before Blue Dragon is attacked from behind by Edward Plague….It looks like Plague isn’t happy and he is here to protect the 6CW Championship at all costs….Dragon fights back and they brawl on the stage before GazzyD runs up the ramp and smashes the 6CW Championship into the back of Blue Dragon, dropping him to a knee. Uryu spins Gazzy around and they exchange punches now. Blue Dragon rises and he grabs Gazzy by the throat and they Uryu…..Edward Plague has grabbed the 6CW Championship belt and retreated to the top of the stage. Dragon stares at Plague now as he delivers a huge double chokeslam on Gazzy and Uryu on the metal ramp to end the show.
