Raina living a little bit dangerously at the moment, quite a few being hit in the air but safely for now.

As usual its down to the new ball to do its magic. Use of teh part timers is perhaps quite a good tactic just to soften up the batsmen, the sudden contrast will be huge

Re: England vs India 1st test debate
Anderson seems to be bowling a bit too short with the new ball, takes lbw and bowled out of the equation when he does that. These two don't really look troubled tbh.

According to Holding, Tremlett isn't fully fit? Would sum up the Big Man's career if he broke down again

Good stand between Raina and Dhoni. Raina has played well for his 50. These two could save the match for India.
England need to get one or both out soon...I sense victory slipping away here...

It's quite remarkable that Yuvraj was under serious consideration to pip Raina before this game. Yuvraj's bowling is pretty similar to Raina's. Raina is the better fielder. Most importantly Raina has more guts then Yuvraj, at Test level.

Game on, edge of the seat stuff.
Why are the British public robbed of the chance to see England on terrestrial TV?
Home test matches should be protected for the British people.

because the main channels arn't interested in bidding the amount they would need to show the matches

Was just posting about desperately needing to break the stand when the wretched laptop went offline for the 5th time this evening ...and immediately Tremlett got a wicket !
So I'm claiming that one
Now we really need another one very soon...

Re: England vs India 1st test debate
I would like the cricket on terrestrial but as you say they don't bid enough (if at all) and probably don't have the clout to do so. The question is, should the ECB take less money to get wider coverage?

Harbhajan not playing the standard backs-to-the-wall defence role at all is he?

I don't care about the UDRS ...that was just very bad umpiring . Was as obvious as the earlier one , not surprised Broad is going off...needs to keep his head.

Re: England vs India 1st test debate
SHOCKING decision that was, everyone in the ground including Raina knew that was out. He shouldn't have been facing, Morgan dropped a sitter off Harbajhan the ball before. Poor all round. Broad reacted badly but I don't blame him tbh, if a decision is that bad you should be allowed to get peed off about it and it's not like he went completely mental.

Bowden said height....rubbish decsion though.
The one earlier you can forgive but thats just poor. No worries about reliability of hawkeye when its that blatant

Sit down Harbi.... pressure has got to him. Couple of bowlers one of them injured.
Raina will go down in history if he gets through this.

agree about bad umpiring, however with hawkeye not allowed for LBW when the umpire says its hit the bat when it clearly hasn't hot spot or just up to the 3rd umpire should be allowed to say that it hasnt hit

Disagree "tainted" , hodge. Not Raina's fault if the umpire has mislaid his glasses , and he's played really well.
Lot of great innings have included let-offs.

Agreed. The whole point of allowing Hawkeye etc. is really to overturn shocking decisions exactly like this one. All well and good saying he shouldn't have got it wrong but he did and there should have been an opportunity for it to have been overturned to prevent an injustice happening.
