The Dew Drop Inn Virtual Rugby Pub
First topic message reminder :
Welcome to the virtual rugby pub - a place where you can come in for a sly beverage and discuss whatever's on your mind, or just eavesdrop on the regulars if you fancy a break from all the rugby chat.
The only rule in this pub is one of mutual respect for everyone in it, oh and no defacing the collage of great current hookers pictures on the bar. We've got Tincu, Ledesma, Ford, Best, Thompson and Bennett all in action. Graffiti's a banning offence
So pull up a chair....what'll it be?

Let's say it is from an Irish background and how the English in Ulster took advantage of different religious beliefs.

As sure as Mick says, you can downlaod anything you treasure again, via Sam Torrents.
That reminds me, I must get Hugs a hord-disk to download my music for him. It wont be all dead-mans music. Have all my 2 sons music on it as well.
Shagabytes of it.

Also next week. They'll go to Ireland v Italy and two Quarter Finals and two Semi Finals.

ha yep, diolch Lucky! It's the only course my work is willing to pay for (they've refused all request of me wanting to improve my computer skills etc so I figured if they were going to pay for something I'd best take the opportunity!) I did the intermediate course last year, but I'm taking the jump and doing an advanced course this year and this one runs for longer too. From Sept-May, instead of just until January. Going to have my work cut out for me I think!

Awesome prize.
I see Italy are playing the US 5 days before playing us. Could work well for us and America will be going all out for that.

I actutally really expect Italy v Ireland to be a cracker and I see our backline turning it on it that game.
Re: The Dew Drop Inn Virtual Rugby Pub
USA have fielded a weak side for Australia in prep for the Italy game which could end up being very tight.

Thomond, the article is weird. It makes an accusation in the first sentence that Horan spoke to Irish management who confirmed they faked injuries to players and then says nothing more about it rest of article.

You're not serious? He can hardly complain! How can people be so silly?
I did not notice Ireland using any time-wasting techniques other than the ordinary stuff that every team does. I don't recall the team being penalised or spoken to by the officials about time-wasting or injuries.

Sour grapes by Horan. They are still in shock. It was not part of the Grand Plan. The full realisation of the consequences have just really set in and they are soul-searching for reasons why.
SA will be favs to beat them.I hope Oz realises that. And I hope Oz beat SA.

I do believe SA could be the team to beat from here on in. They put in a first class performance last Saturday against Figi and must take some confidence from today as well.
A lot will depend on how well Oz recover from the beating we gave them.

I tell you what I'm getting sick off sore loosers who are twisting and rewriting history regarding the Australia game. All I here is nonsence about negative play, spoiling tactics etc.
Rava I agree SA look very dangerous and look set to peak at the right time again. The good news is there might be another ageing team in green who have pulled the same stunt

Re: The Dew Drop Inn Virtual Rugby Pub
I think Australia will recover well and dispense routine thrashings to the USA and Russia. However, I do believe South Africa have the better forwards and better goalkickers, two pretty decisive factors, so I think they'll be hoping for an Ireland slip-up against the Italians because no-one will want to face the Boks this early on. Ideally you'd want to avoid them until the semis or Final.
It's up to Ireland to finish the job and open the World Cup draw up! The earlier the TriNations sides meet, the more open and exciting the knockout stages will be and the greater the possibility of a new Finalist in the shape of Ireland or Wales is.
As for Australia- well the SH presumption was that all three 3N sides would cruise into the next round as pool winners and they would have an 'easy' run to the Final unopposed whilst the All Blacks and Boks battled away in the other half of the draw. Now that their chances of winning the group are essentially out of their hands, you can practically smell the fear of them! It's great.
I don't see their tight five or goal kickers as a World Cup winning tight five or goalkicker. History shows us thats what really counts in knockout rugby.

That is mindbuggeringly unbelievable.
It puts Einstein's special theory of relativity back in the melting pot.
