I usually base it on what I think the weaknesses and strengths are of the team. Then look at the other teams tactics and see if they take advantage and combat them. Then vica versa.

Then just look at the players in the team and see which of them would do the most damage with the tactics they have.

It is all down to preference. You might think a certain player is the best thing since sliced bread, whereas someone else thinks they are poo.

I mean what element to give greatest credence to. I think I gave it to formations and tactics this week. But that will undoubtedly change over the course of my FFA experience - which at this conjecture I would like to admit that I am enjoying very much

I always write the teams down, especially leagues matches, saves going back and forward all the time..

See what formations played against each other

ie 4-4-2 v 4-2-3-1

and all depends of the quality of the player they are up against

So let us tempt fate and say that RVP gets a broken leg next RL game. I suspect people will still hold him in high regard in this FFA season. But next season do you think his rating will go down compared to strikers that are playing? Or is it simply a case of, it is RVP and he is brilliant (even with one leg falling off).

I have a system....

~ Compare formations.
~ Check tactics.
~ Compare the star players.
~ Are either of the managers a runner?
~ Have they stopped me getting a TP?
~ How much do i hate them at that specific moment?

I think RVP will still be rated but not as much as he is now, I rather keep a broken leg RVP over 90% of the strikers on here.

RVP will still be rated. But say if Heskey hits a run of form and scores 1 goal in every 2 games he will soon be rated higher. Also a striker in the Premier League is always going to be rated higher, as its the most common league watched between managers here.

Hey CF. The reasons were posted straight after on the homepage if you can find them. Always good to look at if you are confused. I got spanked by Porto, but the reasons given weren't that negative. Maybe you can see where you went wrong and change things

Cheers guys. I don't know what a "good" goals/games ratio is in the Bundesliga but if he's reasonably good in front of goal that will suit me!! I'm a little undecided if I should play him with someone else up front or someone just behind.

A goal every other game is a good ratio anywhere. But his assist rate is poor, maybe worth playing him with someone creative behind him?

TSC - I'll be honest, not seen a great deal of him, but the bits I can remember, he looks like an intelligent player and a good goalscorer. Not really featured in these kind of leagues, so difficult to say how he will be rated.
