Hero, personally I'd like a lowish team. The idea is that the top teams do win, but if you over-achieve, say I somehow got Swansea City 6th, then that would be more of an achievement than say, someone winning the league with Man City.

Also, been doing some thinking, would anybody be up for a realistic league using the premier league? Have 16 teams, cut the three promoted sides and one other team out as it makes cup running easier and easier to get all the managers in. Some of the teams like United, City would want a title win, whilst some of the lower teams like Norwich would see it as an achievement to avoid relegation. Fifteen week seasons, and at the end of each bottom three are relegated, top four get into CL, next four into EL and bottom eight into FA Cup. First season everyone is in FA Cup, no Europe.

That would be class! But I want Norwich, and will only participate if I get them

Ditto, I'd play but I'd want to be West Ham (just ditch Wigan or someone else poo!) to make it worth my while. I have extremely narrow free time as it is at the mo with this and the wrestling thing, and to a lesser extent, work.

I play the 4-4-2 diamond

GK - Luis Guilherme
RB - Kyle Walker
CB - Ryan Bennett
CB - Danny Wilson
LB - Neil Taylor
CDM - Joe Allen
RM - Alex Oxlade Chamberlain
LM - Domain Bertrand (French wonderkid - generated player)
CAM - Christian Eriksen (he is amazing on FM)
ST - Jay Rodriguez (scores over 20 goals a season in the Prem)
ST - Antonio Romero (Argentinian wonderkid)

I have a squad full of young stars, who all have potential. I like to keep it young, as the players don't get too angry when they aren't played. The 4-4-2 diamond works amazing, I score loads of goals, but do leak a few.

That might get you in to some bother...

It's alright because I hired Michael Jackson as my under 18's coach, with Gary Glitter as a youth coach. They should keep my young players in shape...

Well, you'd do a random draw, if you weren't happy with your team, you could do a swap with any team not involved in the league, so if you got Wigan you could swap for West Ham or Southampton for example.

I think most people would actually like a lower team in honesty, playing as the likes of City etc are fun initially but then become mundane when you don't really need to do a lot to rollover teams.

Could always take the top teams out rather than the bottom ones?

So theoretically I could draw City and decide to be West Ham instead Laugh

I'm in for that then, I assume no one else would touch the Hammers so it seems a pretty clear path.

It would be one league - definitely OK

I'd trust managers don't tactically vote, all votes would have to be justified and if it was evident then I'd warn them about it.

Czech's v Portugal tonight. Can't see the Czech's getting anything except a hammering personally, especially without Rosicky. (Is he definitely out?) Plus Cech has been pretty woeful. Ronaldo looks like he's turned up for once.

I have to admit I thought for the majority of the Premier League season I thought Cech was below average. Only in the last month or so when the Champions League run was going, I thought he was at his normal/best. I would expect Courtois to compete for the starting role next season tbh

Sure Gregers Wink

I think Cech needs the same thing as Reina does: A boot up the backside. No one at their clubs can challenge them for the Number 1 jersey. They make a mistake, who cares? I think De Gea got better because a) He improved and b) Lindegaard threatened to take away his starting place.

Courtois is awesome, although with De Bruyne, Hazard, Lukaku and possibly Fellaini we do resemble the Belgian national side!

I think all De Gea really needed was a run of good games and sort of a break out period. I think Chelsea away when he made some world class saves gave him some confidence, and when he came to Norwich he faced an aerial bombardment, but held his own which I think did wonders for his confidence in his all round game

Booo!
I'm not sure about that signing at all. £5.5m reportedly, for a 31 year old veteran of 1 Prem season?

West Ham's increased bid for Norwich City Grant Holt striker has been accepted. He's expected to be a West Ham player soon (via @Adzman89)

Tooze the info seems to be coming from a random man named Adzman89. I'm not trusting it yet until I see a Norwich source like the one of the EDP reporters saying it tbh

Grant Holt has reportedly refuelled his desire to quit Norwich City after they handed Andrew Surman a lucrative new deal.

The 31-year-old striker, who has two years remaining on his current contract, had a transfer request rejected last month and is a £5m target for West Ham United.

Holt had been seeking improved terms to see out the remainder of his career at Carrow Road, but was bluntly informed there were no extra monies.

Sources close to the Holt camp are understood to be furious Surman's pay has been hiked to £22,000 a week - and last season's top scorer now wants further showdown talks.

The Norwich board continue to insist they will hold Holt to the remaining time left on his contract, but The Hammers are now closing in on City's original valuation of £6million.

The Canaries realise Holt has his heart set on Upton Park and new boss Chris Hughton does not want the situation to continue any further.

For me Surman is nothing more than a squad player. Too slow to play left midfield effectively, but not strong enough for centre midfield IMO. If he has got a deal worth £22,000 a week and I was Holt I would be pretty peed off too.

Pog is on 65,000 a week because Reading have just got new Russian owners who are willing to splash the cash.

I am lead to believe that Lambert was the highest paid person at the club when he was here Tooze, and he was on around 15,000-20,000 a week. Just what I heard from my sources
