So, business end of a big tournament and Murray is playing great but facing one of the 3 players above him.... We've been here many times before.

Anyone fancy Murray to do it this time?

Good going by Murray so far.Shades of how Federer plays Djokovic. Lendl. clap on a good strategy. Let us see how the execution works.

For someone that has such a gorgeous drop shop I can't understand how he plays a BH slice like an off balance surfer!

Murray with a bit of lame service game here. No first serves in.

Thing is with Andy, we all know how good he is at his best... He's as good as anyone.

But he is more likely to have a dip than the other 3. That's what has been his problem. And he has usually talked himself into those dips.

That's been the big improvement under Lendl. Less negativity = less dips.

They still happen though...hope this isn't one here!

Like AUS they both look very evenly matched.

This will come down to who has the mental strength and composure in the key moments.

In the past that is one of the things that has let Murray down against the top players.

This match will tell us a lot about where Murray is.

It shouldn't be tough for Murray, what happened to those short slices? He's just playing left and right at the moment. It looks just like their Australian open final.

Novak has looked better this tournament.

However it's still grass (kind of) and that means this match is a bit of an unknown. They've never played each other on grass before.

I wouldn't say that at all, bar one set Murray has dominated every match he has played and never even had to win a set 7-5, until just now. No way would he lose a set to Hewitt, i saw it as 50/50, 70/30 Murray now

Perhaps entering this, the men's and the mixed doubles is started to catch up.

When I said Novak has looked better this tournament, I meant compared to how he looked at W, not compared to Murray. I think they've looked about the same. Didn't Murray drop a set to Baggy? Even a geriatric Hewitt, on cructches is more dangerous opponent, imo, than Baggy. Why? because he's a proven champion and they can always roll back the years and throw in a performance from years gone by.

Apologies, didn't read your post properly. I wouldn't say so Baghdatis is still around his prime age and has weapons to actually hurt top players, Hewitt is washed up, can't hit a winner to save his life, the only champion like quality he still has is his heart.
