Now that the season has drawn to a close, I thought I'd put up a thread to discuss possible transfer business.
Rumours, Predictions, Hopes and Actualities all welcome here

Unfortunately he got taken in at Ipswich and thus will never be seen playing well again

Ah that's a shame. He was a great servant for my Leeds team and deserves better than scrapping for Championship survival.

Not really transfer related but it is being reported that former Birmingham striker Christian 'Chucho' Benitez has died aged 27, apparently due to respiratory complications.

Reports are really Poopie, its reported to be either a heart attack or a respiratory problem. My googling is not helping me find much and I'm bored of looking

Derby sign Adam Smith on loan from Tottenham - Good player, like the look of him, good signing for Derby.
Walsall sign James McQuilkin from Hereford - Sounded like a good talent in the Confrence last season, interesting to see if he can make the step up.
Scunthorpe Sign Sam Winnall from Wolves - Another good signing for them, that's why there my pick for promotion in that league.

If he wants to leave, why doesn't he hand in a transfer request and get the ball rolling and end the speculation? I accept Bale wants to leave but to Madrid.....I don't think so. He's not the type, still very young and has a family and child to think about. Reading Michael Owen's views on moving to a new country is an insight into what he will have to endure. I think Bale is waiting for Manchester United to make a move. Clear Nani out of the way first of all though.

That's a decent attempt at replacing Brayford. Nice loan signing

I wish footballers would stop having kids aged 17-early 20s. I think it impacts their career quite heavily. Plenty of time to have kids after they've retired/hit 30. Do many of the German/Italian/Spanish youngsters have kids?

Agree Juan.
No because the German, Italian and Spanish Players are not idiots. Unlike A LOT of the young English players, mainly looking at Raheem Stirling.

Brilliant, I go to write heart attack or car crash and write heart attack or respiratory problems, so it was either heart or heart according to my mong typing

Managers prefer their players to settle down and have a few kids and occupy themselves with family life.
Anyone seriously think single famous millionaires would be maintaining good form or have less problems if they got married/had kids in their 30s?

I didn't realise you could have a love of your life at 17. I must have let that one slip by me!!
I'm not moaning about how people spend their lives - it's none of my business and it doesn't bother me - but I reckon many players never reached their full potential because they were bogged down by kids in their teens. It's much better than being part of a gang though!!

Re: 2013 Summer Transfer Window Thread.......................Continued Again
If the alleged offer of £51 million + Di Maria + Coentrao for Bale was true, and Tottenham did reject it, they are crazy. I'd say that's worth more than £80 million, Di Maria's worth at least £20 million and then Coentrao £15 million. That would also give a new winger and new left back, two areas Tottenham need as well as a healthy amount of money to bring in one or two quality players.

And that's without even spending the £50 million where they apparently might target Pastore, which would be a very good signing.
