From a legal point of view you are not responsible for the age of the people who visit the site as long as you post an appropriate warning in relation to the content.

LJ's absolutely correct under current UK and EU law
More interestingly, you left this minor father/boss detail out of the 'setting the scene' message yesterday!!

Mav: Simples, just send a PM to all the sad lecherous gits on here. I can certainly vouch for LJ and D4S being over 18 and I am too - although if you'd seen me play golf today you'd have thought I was about 12

Bumped back up to the top of the list.
Why not use this thread for the gol/tennis debate and NOT take the other thread off topic?

Re: Another Drive4show 'Anything goes' thread
I do wonder if hobo has the gravitas or even self confidence to deal with the more forthright posters like LJ, he seems far to eager to use an argumentative manner rather than raising above the likes of LJ when they go a little over the top. I guess the other argument is that no one should require more of the mods time for policing than anyone else. I just feel that for one of the most civil forums going the golf section has had a few to many incidents like this.
Anyway I for one hope to see a new and improved LJ return.

Wish the News of The World had hacked into mine, would be worth Mega Bucks by now.
If I said they hacked into it, could I then sue them????

Not really pining over him, just seems a bad thing for the site for people to get banned so hastily.

Re: Another Drive4show 'Anything goes' thread
Okay, first time for this one I am afraid (the red pen that is)
Comments like McLarens there do annoy me. I have explained fully to people who have asked as to why LJO was banned and what he needs to do come back.
What disappoints me is that you are aware of the facts and the decisions that have been made but continue to try and cojole the rest of the members into thinking we have taken the decision on a whim.
I have ignored your tempts at baiting me this morning
It has already been stated that our decisions on why members have been banned are not for open discussion and that if anyone has concerns over it, to contact the admin team.

and will continue to do so. LJO has a choice as to whether to return. There is nothing more to be discussed.(I do wonder if hobo has the gravitas or even self confidence to deal with the more forthright posters like LJ, he seems far to eager to use an argumentative manner rather than raising above the likes of LJ when they go a little over the top)

I would also like to know why he was banned. Would help to establish what sort of behaviour might be deemed unacceptable.

JPX and sharrison. All I can suggest is you do what the "red pen" above suggests and ask Hobo privately. As he says, these discussions are held ni public on the board.

OK, I wil tell you what happened to LJ.
He was playing a round and a cat with "belongs to Hobo" engraved on its collar ran out during a crucial par putt. LJ missed the putt and.......................
Hang on a second, maybe you should just PM hobo.

Thought I'd bump this one back up, all the other threads seem to be going round in circles just now, getting a bit bored with them.
So, who's got something interesting to chat about?

No it's not, you may wish to seek medical attention for that one.
Although, I do seem to remember something similar in a german film I once saw...............

I think if you swap that around, it sounds pretty normal - most pot noodles smell like one bodily ejection or another.

It's a lot more fun than some of the other threads right now
I've just ordered a pair of retro style pom pom headcovers for my woods in a rather natty black/white check pattern

On a more serious not how did people find the final instalment of the harry potter film series. I thought it was the most watchable film of the lot for a non potter fan like me. Although there was a distinct lack of Hermione action for my liking.

I hold my hands up here........
I've NEVER seen a HP film or a Star Wars film or a Lord of the Rings film.
Fantasy type films (well, not that type anyway ) just aren't my thing, give me a good comedy or action/thriller anytime.

Thought the 3D bit was sometimes a bit pointless - looked a bit like one of those old films where they have a magnified lizard in the background!
Good film - unrealistic that the ginger got the girl though...

Why would a non Potter fan watch all of the films ?
