Congrats SA. And congrats to Old Man, Biltong and Protea, etc. Deserved winners (just!).
Good luck for the final. I think you’ll need to step up hugely!

Will Wales regret not being more attack minded in their approach? Granted that's easier said than done against a brutal defensive line!

Congrats to the Boks...
Nobody's idea of a great team but they've battled their way into the final. Won't die easy.
Disappointed for Wales but they weren't good enough.
One good thing we will now see the best referee in the final...

South Africa were too strong for Wales. The question is will they be too strong for England in the final?
Wales go on to play NZ for the third spot. Who would want to play in a third spot match after the disappointment of losing in a semi-final? Surely this is a game for the second string or younger players?

After all the Alan wyn Jones stuff in the pre game analysis, almost inevitable that it would be his penalty for not releasing that would be critical and then knocking on the last line out. Such fine margins. Tough way to go out, but I guess there’s only so many rabbits you can pull out of the hat.

Well that was an arm wrestle.
Bad luck to the welsh fans, congrats to the SA.
Final next week, can’t see SA being as bad again.
Wales vs NZ will be a good match. Two teams saying bye bye to successful coaches.

Congrats Boks...
Boks played Garces perfectly, even before the game by trying to show how Garces refs against them. Garces then had no option than to give Boks the 50:50 calls .... and he did.

If they make it to the final then I guess they are finalist material? They have forwards that can throw England around but whether they do it is another matter. I think England will pinch the final this time in another tight game. Last year I thought England winning the world cup was a joke, now here they are!

England will have little problem dispatching of this average south African team...
I said it before the game, and was ridiculed, that you need to negate the SA platform, their backline offered nothing but crash bang wallop as expected, however what was really sad was Wales attempt at trying to counter it with a poor kicking game, and half hearted attack

Its not where you start the race, or even where you are half way through. It is where you finish. We have had luck with Curry and Underhill appearing at the right time, and Tuilagi finally being fit again, but the rest has been all about building up to this moment ever since Eddie joined up

If they won a Final with crash, bang and wallop, they wouldn't be appolgising in the after game speeches.

F*** gracious... the ref’ing of the game was atrocious. Not one high tackle called, but the number of times Welsh players where taken out around the neck, I lost count. Forward passes, crooked feeds, not straight line outs, offsides, blocking... not checking calls, ie Josh Adams catch to take ball out but lineout given against Wales... it makes a mockery of a semi final of the World Cup.
Wales lost, Boks knew how to play us, but having Garces turn a blind one to infringements sticks in the throat.

There is a danger of being dragged into an arm wrestle with a team that is better equipped for it. There is also the question of how much the respective semis have taken out of both teams, and the danger of a card in the final. But if both teams play as they did this weekend there can only be one winner.

England are better equipped for an arm wrestle too. They have the bigger, stronger, more skilled pack, with much better kickers.

Let's be honest, SA are trying to avoid playing rugby, a bit like Saracens did...
Ultimately England should destroy this SA gameplan, as I hoped Wales would, instead they played straight into it, and deservedly lost

From the evidence of what they've been doing from pools to play off stages, which team 'underperformed' today?
I'd suggest you'd have to say SA. So congrats to Wales for containing them and making them really work for their final.

I would just like to say to maestegmafia. you said yesterday Wales have beaten SA the last 4 times the have played them.
But like i said yesterday regards England only beaten NZ 8 times in the last 42 games, but this is rugby world cup knock out rugby.
It is how you play on the day that counts, not what you have done in the past.
Well SA and a very hard luck to Wales.

How much did the injuries across the tournament (and before) take out of Wales? Why does Biggar play so well in some games and is a passenger in others?
It did feel that both teams had a similar game plan and SA were just that little bit more powerful, but it really could have gone either way.

Why is it wrong to criticise Garces? He cost Wales the game against average Ireland before the tournament, and almost cost us the game against Australia. The guy just chooses not to give Wales penalties but waits for his team do so.

I did not think that Garces was too one eyed towards SA. He missed a lot but missed it for both teams.
Really gutted for Wales but really felt they tried to counter SA's game plan rather than play the way they know they can and have been successful with. The early injuries did have a huge impact on Wales though.
I just feel horrible for AWJ, he has been a mountain for Wales and is one of the greatest players of all time.

You can be much more astute than this but unfortunately it does seem to be your default setting. I am not sure if Wales are always pure as driven snow, or that they are the most wronged team in history.

What on earth are you talking about? It’s already been proven that he did in the Ireland and Australia game (14 points to Aus hello?) - go back and read it. I didn’t say he was the reason Wales lost today. Funny how the English did say he was poor before this game, but now he’s the best thing since sliced bread...

How the new injury's affect Wales against the Abs?
Wales have had some bad luck in this world cup, and the warm up games with injury's
Wales gave it all today, but SA gave just that little bit more.
Good luck to Wales for the game against NZ.
