right on to the 1st of the cup finals this week and Chris Adams has named an unchanged squad for Surrey's decisive final game of the LV= County Championship season against Derbyshire at the Kia Oval.

gooch - wasn't a regular run out, Roy went to drive and it went straight to short leg who threw down the stumps as Roy had gone out of his crease while playing the shot.

I retract my statement of Northants having a longer tail than us.

Middlebrook (who we all know can be a nuisance with the bat) and Vaas still to come. Thats if they get past Willey swinging from the hip!

Hi Tibor - I really used to slate Middlebrook on the original 606 but being fair to the old trundler he's had a very good season, especially with the bat ....

1000 championship runs for Wine Gums as well now, that's 4 of the top 6 with Roy and Ramps trailing behind, admittedly having fewer innings.

His average this season is over 40 yet his career average remains under 30 which shows the improvement he has made with us. I would say him, Hyphen and Davies have all been pretty equal behind Brain this year. The most exciting thing is that we have 4 players in the top 6 with so much potential to improve.

Indeed. Good to show that we can do well without him though I suppose. Tbf I can't remember a season with so few matches affected by rain which has probably helped the run getting cause, apart from The Brain the averages are at 40 or just below so nothing that special in that regard.

Just been away for an hour and a half and I'm chuffed with this score now - Nora and River have hung about while Wine Gums makes hay - congrats to him on 1,000 as well. If we can reach 400, we can 'allow' Norhants anything up to 349! But as the swinging Willey Shocked

Lets not forget that batting (and bowling) bonus points only count in the first 110 overs, so Northants will need to get a move on in order to register their runs in time!

They will need to get 130 in 28 overs (RRR of 4.64) to get max points

so it looks more than likely that they will only get four batting points, making it crucial that we get 400!

Chopra has been in excellent form throughout the season. I thought back in April that Laurie Evans would be pushing him hard for a place in the Warwicks side but it hasn't worked out that way at all ....
