In the nineties this was a hot topic for International players were seen to be playing far too many matches and that was seen to be effecting their form. This resulted in some countries, Ireland, New Zealand, SA and Australia organising a system of central contracting, other unions decided to find amicable agreements with the clubs and regions they represented to get both release and rest for their star performers.

The next International for Wales falls into a congested part of the season and the repercussions of a demanding international maybe injuries that leave regional and the Welsh national team short on experience come the preceding matches.

What are the alternatives to the current systems, should players all be on some type of rotational policy or should we just select the best for every match until they break...?
