606 Rivalries - Page 3 Empty 606 Rivalries

Post by JabMachineMK2 Thu 05 Sep 2013, 10:03 am

First topic message reminder :

Just a bit of fun (any arguments break out and mods should close the topic)

Just wondered who your favorite rivalries have been with and who notable pairings have been?

I've enjoyed my banter with Truss the most I think - and seeing some of the older posts I think Az vs Everyone has always been funny to see.

Yours?

I'm sure the world's hunger problems could be solved by TRUSS squeezing himself into a t-shirt 2 sizes too small ...a 5XL should do the trick!

Na he wasn't. They had similar views but I don't think they are the same person.
D4 pretty much admitted it.  I have looked for the post but I can't find it.  You'll just have to trust a complete stranger over the internet, LJ.

I am Young_Towzer.
Young_Towzer was Steven_89 and Southpaw_20 even though his boxing opinions totally changed as he hit puberty.

Would be interesting to know if Arch and D4 were the same person. I remember they did have some differing views. Both were equally dire though.

d4's habit of chucking articles at you as rebuttal grew tedious over time...

We were all wrong because "Suzuki in the Horoshima times" thought Manny was better than Mayweather....

Or Bonecrusher Smith said it on youtube...even If Tyson, Spinks, Leonard, Holyfield, Camacho disagreed..

What did they know..

London Ring Rules, Azumha and Fight News at different times have KO'd Truss into retirement.

Many others have tried and many others have failed to silence the Yank.

This is a great thread.

What happened to Davidemore?

I didn't follow the board for a few weeks earlier this year and when I picked up again he seemed to be gone?

Was he retired by his corner or did he say no mas?

Ghosty struggled to keep his calm with many people. Waingro did manage to get under windy's skin though which took some doing. I do miss waingro, Shah and I had some fun baiting him. The gordy's and Winchester's were but pale imitations.

Wasn't Waingro another alias of young_towser/steven_89/southpaw_20? Very similar opinions & level of intellect, punctuation never a strong point.

What I'm saying is he's such a persistent liar that more reliable sources need to make the statement.

Bit like you...A top man....

LRR never made me leave he was always a good wum/debater..........Came out about even with Zoomy..who I always respected.

As for the piece of s**t fightnews.....well If people think regularly impersonating me on 606...Endlessly trying to hack my account.......P****G on all my threads persistently all day and everyday is cool..

Then it says more about them...No surprise strongy liked him..

I don't think so. Waingro was pretty respectful and never insulting, even when he was getting insulting.
Steven (aka Towzer/Southpaw) became agressive as hell when someone mocked his opinion. It was hilarious.

Do you remember lovely_london?  He was of a similar ilk to Towzer/Southpaw.  Claimed he would be able to beat professional fighters in a fist fight because he was over 6 ft tall.

"I used to lift 500 on the squat and go out drinking four times a week looking for girls"

Like you do..

"When I was 16 I could lift 400"

"Yates never did smith squats"......"I never said that".......

"I like Audley Harrison"...."I never said that"

"!I've never written a Frampton article"..."It's on your history"..."How did you get on that"

"I've never written a boxnation article"..

Mate I'm not interested in you....At least fightnews didn't lie all the time..

Thought the LRR style was a bit of a one trick pony myself. Quirky at first, irritating after a while. Knew his stuff though, and larry big pants has stuck with me! Liked zoomy though he was another who could be a little forthright with his views.

Claimed he would be able to beat professional fighters in a fist fight because he was over 6 ft tall.[/quot

He'd beat any pro fighter under 6ft who'd weigh less than him as he worked out & trained himself, Mayweather being a prime example who'd get splattered as his punches would have no effect. Anybody remember the other idiot who went into detail how he'd faught off chavs carrying razor blades and was a real street fighter? Cant remember if it was on here or the old 606.
